FOUND IT! It's some industrial monster at 44(H) x 148(W) x 141(D) mm but Each downstream Port (P1 ~ P4) can supply up to 2.0A. http://www.ioiusb.com/Hub/U2H4BC07.htm I have no idea where to buy.

AND http://www.kanexlive.com/sydnee/ this: you can recharge up to 4 iPads or iOS devices simultaneously. Each individual USB port pumps out 2.1 Amps of power for quick charging. $149. The search is over.

Not sure what this adapter does and how about I am able to charge the ipad using an adapter which does not supply enough power. Without this adapter ipad just shows not charging.

It shows "not charging" when it is not supplied the expected 10 watts. Although it shows "not charging," it still is - just very very slowly. It takes about 8-10 hours to fully charge on a 500mA adapter.

Nice! I wonder if it counts as my carryon by itself. :)

Found this thread while looking for a similar usb charger - wanted 4 usb outlets with 2.1 amps and needed 50/60hz and 120-240V for European travel. I did find a charger which meets the OP's requirements on amazon; the Scosche QUSBH4 reVIVE IV - 4-Port Usb charger. According to Scoshe's websitet it is a true 4x 1amp each port charger with 50hz/60hz and 120-240v compatibility. Now I'm debating on ordering it at a pricey ~25 versus two of the ~15 2x 2.1 amp per outlet chargers previously mentioned in the thread since it would be approximately the same price, but with redundancy and potentially more versatility with two units.

Just bought one on ebay for $8.95. Thanks for the suggestion.

If anyone is still interested in buying these chargers, I found two such products with 4 ports on Amazon.

Cosmos ® 4-Port Wall to USB Travel A/C Power Adapter Charger

Cosmos ® 4-Port Wall to USB Travel A/C Power Adapter Charger + Cosmos Cable Tie

To be clear, these last two are 2 A max, not per port.

I read one of the reviews on Amazon, it said "this is capable of charging at 2 amps (5v usb) on a single port (not just 500 mA per port)." :)

Yes, up to 2 A per port, to a total maximum across all ports of 2 A. Not 2 A per port on multiple ports at once. If you want 2A per port, you can only have one device plugged into the charger.

Isn't USB 3 suppose to put out way more juice? Even talk about charging laptops.

Maybe USB 3.0 hubs will come out with that kind of capability.

I found out the hard way that my MacAlly dual USB charger did not like UK 220v (even though the specs said 120-240v). Died quietly, fortunately. Luckily, the Hilton London Metropole had a 120V transformer socket in the room, so we were able to use the surviving charger on that.

Have to look at the scosche adapter. Kensington has a dual USB 2.1 A charger out... http://www.kensington.com/kensington...ple-cable.aspx

I got this: AViiQ Portable Charging Station

It does say it'll do an iPad, though you have to hook up the iPad first, so it sounds like the current is shared. I don't have an iPad (yet) so I can't verify.

The nice thing for the traveller with this is that it comes with it's own case that can also arrange and store your cables, so when you leave your hotel you're not likely to forget one behind the desk (though you might forget the whole thing :P)

You can also use one port (marked) to sync to a computer, when you've connected it in that configuration it uses the computer's USB power, therefore you can't sync and charge your iPad at the same time.

The power adapter specifically states it does 100-240. It outputs 5V/3.0A
