Singapore skyline from the Mandarin Oriental

Seemed appropriate to include this here, given the previous post...

These pics bring back great memories of recent visits to Bodensee, particularly the medieval town of Meersburg, Germany ^

We didn't get to Meersburg on this trip, but we have visited it in the past. It is a wonderful town, probably my very favorite place on the Bodensee. ^^

BTW, if you would like to see more photos of the Bodensee, you can check out my trip set on Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jassy-5...7602542124591/ . I am verrrrry slooowwwly getting my pictures uploaded, a few every couple days or so. The next ones will be the churches on Reichenau and the gardens on Mainau (^).

Hey, nice pics! Re colorful veggies and fruits decorating the church, what and where is that church? What event was being celebrated?

Thank you. The next day was German Thanksgiving, although as I understand it, in Germany the holiday is religious and not secular as in the U.S. So it was limited to churches, at least as far as I could tell.

The churches of the photos are on Insel Reichenau -- Muenster St. Mary and Church St. George. Catholic, I believe (though I am not positive).

Rennaisance Harborside Vancouver

I awoke entirely too early this morning to the view below of Vancouver Harbor (about 3 hours after I actually woke up ) before the rain started up. Looks like another dreary day in YVR.

Edit: I took a couple out because the ones from today (below) are better

sbm12,

Sorry about the upcoming dreary day in YVR, but your photos are very nice!

Thanks!

Other than the 3am wakeup and the 18 hour work day and the drizzle all day long, it turned out OK because I went to what I think is the best sushi restaurant in N. America for dinner (Tojo's).

Plus, the weather was better this morning, yielding much better views of the mountains and the float planes running their morning commutes.

Some more shots are here.

S.

Nice pic.
About best sushi, I happened to dine at a To Jo (2 words) in Largo, FL two nights ago. It was good and quite reasonable price wise. But I had much better sushi back in the other bay area (SF bay). Not sure if To Jo is a chain in N. A. ??
