I really don't understand the SPG sites! Today I've been seeing rooms at the 4p going for 2,200++ (for dates in April, advance purchase only but these are cheaper than the 3 for 2 rates)
I look again and the minimum is 2,700++
And again and it's 2,200++
I guess it depends on how I land on the booking page.

Was looking for a room in BKK August 24-28 and found the recently opened Park Plaza Bangkok Soi 18 has 30% off a 2 day minimum stay at 1781 THB ++ instead of 2545 THB ++. Rate is non-prepaid and cancellable. Property is too new to have any TA reviews, but could be an alternative to the Four Points cash and miles redemption I had planned.

starpick rate at the Royal Orchid Sheraton for 3030THB ALL INCLUSIVE !! bookable until friday it says..... i booked a night under BRG before this deal showed up for 3200++ but i think i wont change it because of the points.

The Banyan Tree Bangkok is on sale on Jetsetter for $120 (ai) this week. Dates are through mid-Sept. This is a 516 sqf room. The Club Suite is 712 sqf and $180 and the 1bdrm Banyan Suite is $200 and 1050 sqf. They all include breakfast and the latter 2 - Banyan Club access. The hotel says that the rate includes tax and service charge. Supposedly, platinum members would still get a welcome amenity and a shot at an upgrade, but no points or stay credit. They also said that you can extend your stay at the $79 rate. This all sounds quite reasonable, assuming it's correct.
