I posted on another thread that my folks recently flew TG F to FRA and back. While they loved the ground handling (they were escorted from the lounge ni CDG to their LH flight to FRA, met off the LH flight and walked to the senator lounge, walked to the TG flight, then buggied on arrival in BKK), and they loved the 77W suite (they took row 2 centre x 2) - they agree with some of the comments on here about the food. They are regular TG flyers, but thought the food has gone way down hill. They only nibbled on bits and pieces and as an example couldn't eat the fruit (rock hard).
They said the food on LH business (CDG-FRA) was far superior (even though it is just bite sized). They also thought the LH C class service was far superior to TG (noticeably downhill since their last TG flight in March).
Their above experiences are based on flights in october and november.
Only one champagne choice - rose seems to have gone. But Dom was flowing freely.

Re buggy at BKK: They sent a buggy arriving at BKK. Six F pax, four buggies. It was a long connection so I headed downtown, when I returned from shopping they even had a buggy meet me after immigration to take me back to the F lounge even though onward sector was not even in F!
Menus: It does seem a bit odd that F menus are missing, even in longhaul Y menus are still given out. The FA basically had a small sheet of paper showing the meal options for the in- and outbound rotations out of FRA and the short haul sectors that presumably the plane would be flying afterwards. The paper had scribbled notes all over the place and was a mess. Certainly unprofessional.
Food: Reasonable. Not everything was too my taste, but I didn't find there was anything wrong with the food itself. Wife did the duck and thought it could have been better.

When I asked the purser why the movies were not the current ones, he said it was normal, because they only changed them after the 10th of the followinng month.
Either he doesn't have a clue or he tried to BS me.
Either way I told him to .... off and keep on licking the arse of the TIP's sitting next to me.

I was in the why cabin few days ago and noted a well coiffured monument and her "I am a popstar and therefore need concrete for hair gel and REALLY tight trousers" son on the exit row that I couldn't secure days out. Sadly for them, flight was full to tilt.
Staff gave them overly high attention and myself (just behind them, and TG *G) non whatsoever

So do they load the rice in the cargo hold so worldwide catering for them would use Thai rice? Seems to make perfect sense and I'm sure does the bottom line a lot of good

- never fly Y
- never pay for anything he can get for free in Thailand
So most certainly this was some class B or C celebrity without access to the corruption circuits.
Sometimes I wonder why I get always excellent service (better than a TIP)? Must be that I am extremely polite but also extremely firm - they must fear me......

How rude but how right you are. I can literally see how you describe the situation. Nothing could describe the Thai mentality better .
A real TIP would
- never fly Y
- never pay for anything he can get for free in Thailand

Just another example of the TG TIP mentality and its reach well beyond Thailand.
There was only 2 TIP's in F on my last CDG-BKK flight, but there was a party of at least 10 of them in the CDG F lounge . Unless this had been authorized by the TG station manager in CDG, this is simply not allowed .
They were noisy , obnoxious and pretty stupid ( could not operate a coffee machine) .

It was mine.......
I flew the A340-600 from BKK to LHR this week, for the first time.
This aircraft does not really lend itself to F class. The galley is tiny and the loos are also tiny, and the cabin feels like a glorified Business Class. Having said that the crew were excellent and produced a lovely meal and great service.
Surprisingly, while everybody in the 8 seat cabin had their allocation of half a tin of caviar, the crew still managed to find me a second portion. Also, I couldn't decide between the King Prawn starter or the Lobster, Crab meat, Smoked Salmon roll starter, so the CSD gave me both dishes...and they were both fantastic.
I like the new grey coloured pyjamas...the cotton is very light and I found them more comfortable than the purple or blue ones, but the purple colour was the nicest.....

I was in F with spouse a few years back and I was the only person who took the caviar (out of 4 total passengers) - they gave me a normal-sized portion from the tin (I saw it in that white bowl thing with ice that it always goes in - I got about 1/8th of the tin). The other 3 passengers passed it up and went on to the other starter.
I asked for seconds and was told "there was no more".
So I supposed the other 7/8 of the tin had vanished into thin air.

Agree! My mom hasn't been out of hers since arriving home and she usually leaves them behind. Supposedly these ones are 'just right' - not too hot and not too cold!!
