It seems in the process of repairing user profiles and thread/post counters, you guys (sort of) fix another (unrelated) problem.

It has long been reported the phantom pages/posts phenomena but no fix has been officially announced (most recent official reply from 2/12/08 here). I personally witness this problem since early December 2007. Out of curiosity, I double checked tonight a thread that has been carried this phantom page problem and I've been closely monitored. The phantom page just disappeared!

Other than rebuilding the counters, I don't know what else you guys did (or been doing since April 9th). At least you guys did something right. You guys got the stored thread lengths and actual length of the thread in sync for the time being. Good job!

Next time don't blame me for delivering only bad news and problems, OK? :p

But, please, please, keep them in sync at all times! I don't want to see another phantom page ever again. Thank you!

First things first. I am not talking about any problem with moderation in CC.

This thread may signify another problem not yet reported.

FWIW, CC mod had deleted the thread. OP, a newbie with zero post count, just registered either yesterday or the day before. The poster didn't run into any roadblock and successfully started a thread in CC. :eek:

After OMNI open to all last October, Coupon Connection is now the only forum that imposes entry requirements. However, (I assume) due to the corrupted counters and profiles, CC was open up to the world (maybe still is, I don't know).

I am not sure if the door has been closed properly. It's better for IB to double check ASAP:

1. The 90/90 CC threshold is still intact for FTers who had registered before this wave of numerous problems started;

2. Nobody that registered after the problems started has access to CC.

My apology if my "speculation" about the technical loophole is not correct. Better safe than sorry.

Fortunately, your speculation is indeed incorrect. :) The problem was not, in fact, a "technical" one having to do with the current spate of problems, but rather something else entirely. It has since been corrected.

Thank you and thanks dalm for confirming. A minor annoyance at most but still nice if it were fixed.

Not sure if this belongs here or if its even related, but I recently went over 90 posts and have been a member here for over 90 days and I cannot see Coupon Connection.

Your issues are indeed unrelated to this main thread.

90/90 is just the minimal threshold. You should have checked in with the Coupon Connection Master thread and also read this thread to find out what could have happened to certain FTers. ;)

A different PM problem. When I go to the messaging page, I get the following line, it's a live link:
You have 1 confirmed and 0 unconfirmed private message receipts.

Clicking that link leads to
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/private.php?do=trackpm

which states the following:

I have that as well, but in my case, it's been there for months.

I'm also getting the PM Notification when there are no unread messages. I thought this was happening to everybody but it doesn't appear to be the case.

Hey everyone. Sorry I did not have time to look into this earlier. For those having PM issues where it shows a false positive on new PM's, just PM yourself and then delete the new message. This usually resets the counter. NewbieRunner, yours is fixed.
