Numerous Problems With Site April 9, 2009

* General and occasional system slowness

* My last visited date shows: Dec 31, 08

* My mailbox shows that I have a PM, but no new ones appear in it

* Forums views reflect that the latest posts were on December 29, 2008

* If you click on the link to the thread listed in the forum view, the thread will truncate any posts that took place after December 29, 2008

* I just got this message in CommunityBuzz!

Hello FlyinHawaiian. We couldn't help but notice you haven't posted in awhile and wanted to take this opportunity to encourage you to join in the discussions. If you haven't seen anything that has tempted you to post recently, consider heading over to the TravelBuzz! forum ... there is always something interesting/strange/fun being discussed there.
What, pray tell, is going on here?

FlyingOnceMore Apr 9, 2009 5:06 pm

Apparently I haven't been on FT since Dec 30 '08 @ 05:26

Wow, I thought I had just entered a time warp. I'm glad it's not just me.

I knew the margaritas I'd made were strong but when the box went missing I panicked!

Ditto on what FlyinHawaiian just said.

I am also getting notices of threads that were posted to in December or older.

Another improvement I take it?

Subscribed Threads notification has gone bonkers (I'm seeing threads the latest post- previously read, by the way- was 1 April).

Just got this at the top of an OmniPR page where I've already posted today:

I see it too and it looks like one of the threads i frequent went back in time to 12/30/08.

Sounds like someone broke the db.

Yep, same here. Also, everytime I go into the SPG forum, I get a new PM pop-up from MileageAddict and now it says I have 4 unread PM's when all of them have been read already.

This is awful:td:
Getting the same message as Flyin Hawaiian.

I see PM's that I deleted weeks ago are now back.

SanDiego1K Apr 9, 2009 5:20 pm

In My FlyerTalk, it shows all the threads to which I have subscribed since Dec 31 2008. Normally, it only shows the threads to which there have been responses since I last logged on.

wow it seems the DB has been partially reverted back to Jan 8,2009!!

BearX220 Apr 9, 2009 5:24 pm

I was in mid-click, jumping from one forum to another, when the clock flashed back to Dec 31 2008. Thought I had caused a rip in the space-time continuum -- got a goofy, chilly Twilight Zone feeling for a second.

But if you call up a list of your own posts, they're all up to date and reflect our actual position in this time cycle.

In all seriousness the site is a train wreck today -- again.

FlyinHawaiian Apr 9, 2009 5:25 pm

It comes as no surprise to me that there is a full moon tonight. Utter lunacy going on right now... :-:

Steph3n Apr 9, 2009 5:29 pm

This doesn't look good, I am seeing forums get overwritten with data from Jan 1, 2009 as I write now.

It looks like someone issued a DB restore and it is going on a server and spreading to others, RAID arrays gone bad and they had an old offline drive that came online and controller is overwritting.....or worse.....
