Here on the Left Coast, it's been a speed demon today compared to yesterday. Average page load on DSL today is about 4.0 seconds for me.

But I did note this interesting statistic from Alexa.com, the web information company:

Site Stats for flyertalk.com:

* Flyertalk.com has a traffic rank of: 14,797
* Speed: Very Slow (82% of sites are faster), Avg Load Time: 5.06 Seconds

I agree about it being slow on Sunday. Took a couple of minutes to load pages. Later in the evening it was back to normal.

I've noted the erratic speed performance of the site. Super fast one part of the day or even today with one operation/query/post; but super slow to virtually inop. another function or during another part of the day.

For me, it was really slow mid-afternoon. Switch to Firefox and the pages loaded much faster and smoother.

As of this evening, everything seems to be normal so far.

Please remove the Chicktionary Banner Ad!!!!

Ever since this ridiculous "Chicktionary Banner Ad" has been added, every page takes 30 seconds to load.

It's a waste of my time and discourages me from browsing the website.

PLEASE REMOVE IT!!!!
