reducing your screen brightness can help, but that's a different issue.

If you don't like them, FT provides you with a handy way of switching them off.

But the default is for them to be on, which is wasting electrons and time every time pages load. Admittedly, it's a small amount, but over time it adds up. They're slowly killing the planet.
When was the last time you personally clicked on a link in someone else's signature for an actually productive reason?

And yes, "universally of negative value" may have been hyperbolic, but just a tiny bit, and certainly less so than "so many others find value in the information contained in them"

I think this could be said of the content above the signature as well, so to paraphrase:
I wouldn't agree with your original or the above overall. Accepting that we each place the boundary at different levels means that I can forgive the DYKWIA, etc posts because there are some useful ones to counter balance them. As it happens I've never noticed a sig that I felt was annoying, etc...

Guys, this is a tech support thread for feedback on the new style changes. Please stay on topic. Extraneous posts still need to be read by me and Joel and... we'd frankly rather just fix stuff.

Per IBjoel, tech are already (still) working on font issues. Let's wait to see how that settles before asking them for more -- it may well just get fixed.

please can you revert to the format used previously, this new format is hideous and virtually impossible to use on an iPhone?

Is it really that hard to make the page # that one is on more distinguishable from the others? Brighter, different color, something. I'm referring to the #s at the bottom on a multi-page thread.
Cheers.
Cheers.

I briefly looked at the forums on my phone at work yesterday, and if anything they're both better than the current desktop offering, as I use a mobile layout at present for precisely zero websites that tells you how bad I think the new desktop redesigns have been
