Thankyou IBobi for this most useful tip, it's brilliant. Can anyone please help with my next problem? I have successfully taken a screenshot but each time I try to use the icon above to add the picture to this message it asks me for a url no. I am on an iPad and can't see one anywhere. Is it not possible to simply upload the image somehow?
.... Reads WIKI and returns 10 minutes later ... Actually, I can save you all the trouble - I have now read the WIKI on this (what and where is the 'clipboard?!) and am going to retire to a dark room with a wet towel around my head and see what I can figure out. This is all soooo last century - why on earth can we not just upload? You can load it to your ft album (look in MyFlyerTalk) or externally, to photobucket, flickr, etc. Paul |

I've been getting that ad every time I go to read a thread in any hotel forum.
Using Chrome on a PC. If it is showing up every time you go to a new page, be sure your browser is not set to delete cookies. I am also using windows/chrome and I am not seeing that at all. If you have a specific page you're seeing it on, please post the link. |
Merging this with existing thread on this issue.

I'm getting this too. Over here it's usually small airline ads that appear only at the top of the screen and seem designed to appear as part of an overall web page.
On IE10 it is necessary to hit the Back button. Then you get the FT page. The FT page has flashed past for a split second before the ad is displayed. Some ad overlay is being sent down as a separate page. |

Obnoxious Hyatt popup ad
Not being a loyal Flyetalker who ever complains ... BUT what is up with that very annoying popup/floating Hyatt advertisement?
Is Flyertalk THAT desperate for funds? I can promise that I will never click through a link on Flyertalk because of this. Sorry for the hissy fit but it is obnoxious! |

OK, I'm bothered enough to post screenshots now.
BTW, this same ad loads nigh immediately on my computer (even if it's rendering multiple times per page). It also only appears in the UA forum on my computer. I see this ad in Every. Single. Forum. on mobile devices. In fact, I'm not sure I'm seeing any other ads in mobile at the moment. It's making the site unusable on mobile, essentially. Without further ado… Beginning frame http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/membe...tial-frame.jpg Third frame (never quick enough to get the second--however, you can see the plane that takes off from the right-hand side and flies diagonally to the top of the frame, slowing everything to 1995 browsing speeds) http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/membe...background.jpg Fourth frame http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/membe...urth-frame.jpg Final frame http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/membe...inal-frame.jpg Banner version (this is a top banner--didn't get a side banner, but it's out there) http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/membe...s-top-page.jpg |

How dare the company try to make money while providing you this service for free! I've most definitely clicked through some FT banner ads that are interesting to me, but like the OP, I will intentionally pass the really aggressive ones even if it's a product or service I would have otherwise been interested in. I'm very much one to avoid something out of pure principal even if inconveniences a bit. |

Those Hyatt pop ups are annoying.
Keeping FT open in a browser throughout the day has been a good workaround for me |
I only see the IHG popup ads.

Add me to the list never clicked through on an ad off flyer talk
