PLEASE POST SCREENSHOTS of the FULL SCREEN and report your DEVICE TYPE, BROWSER TYPE AND VERSION, and COUNTRY where you are browsing from in your post. This thread is strictly for the reporting of disruptive ads, including unwanted popups, page hijscks, malware attempts, etc. related to ad content. Please refrain from discussion or speculation about technical issues if they are not reports as specified here.
We understand disruptive advertisements lessen the enjoyment of your FlyerTalk browsing experience. Please post all disruptive advertisement reports here; your full report (see above) will assist Internet Brands / FlyerTalk in handling these expeditiously. Admin / Tech attempts to respond to all reports speedily, but eliminating problem adverts may require communication with advertisements suppliers or devising technical solutions that may require time. (Internet Brands operates during customary and usual work hours on the U. S. West Coast; holidays, weekends, etc. are observed.)
To see how to include a screen shot in your post, once you have taken the screen shot follow the instructions "Inserting a photo or image from your device into a post:" in the first post in the thread http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/techn...mage-post.html
NOTE: Internet Brands and FlyerTalk discourage the use of software that modifies your FlyerTalk browsing experience (e.g. ad blocking software). IB / FT declines all responsibility for the use of such software and can not provide support or assistance if such software is used. As well, we remind you IB / FT can only provide FlyerTalk free to members because of the financial support of advertisers; using ad blockers denies IB / FT income that would normally pay for your free community membership and browsing experience..

iPad Pro
Safari
iOS 10.3.3
Wifi and 4G
Australia
Have been receiving the following popup consistently over the last 5 weeks, to the point now that every time I access Flyertalk on the iPad this page comes up and I have to close Safari.
I have raised this issue with Apple tech here to see if they have a fix but nothing after 2 weeks.

I'm getting the "You've won a $1000 gift card" pop up on pretty much every thread I click on, including this one. The URL at the top is brickages.com.
I'm using Safari on an iPhone 5, and just upgraded to iOS 10.3.3. (The upgrade has, possibly, just given me the gift that clicking the back button gets me out of the ad, because that didn't work previously. However, it's still annoying.)

This issue seems to be occurring only on Mobile only.
From what I can tell it seems to be an ad hijack - whereby the flash etc part loads then grabs the page.
Most annoyingly you can't use Back to get back to where you are.
Basically if this is happening on a site I just leave -- it makes browsing IMPOSSIBLE, and must be costing the operators page reads and genuine ad revenue bigtime.
And unlike most of the above which seem to be iphone.
also occuring on my Android phone. Asus running Android 7.0 with latest Chrome browser.
Very similar issues occurring on airliners.net
Detailed thread with some people capturing the redirects. Tech people their also struggling to solve:

You need to kill the method. These guys can generate new sites faster than you can block them.
If the ads come from an external agency, fire their ..., fine them for each hijack ad they let through etc.

And part of the redirect link I grabbed today on my Android from Sydney, Australia.
one of the iPhone ads pictured above.
As I was browsing this very thread!
http://microsoft.com-m-nz-two6.gadget-giveaways-today.stream/slots.html?brand=Asus&model=Phone_Model&city=Corre ct_Suburb&browser=Chrome%20Mobile&myipaddress&volu umdata=BASE64xxxxxx
And another one immediately after making the post + this time for Google Play credit, identifying me as using Telstra WiFi
http://microsoft.com-m-nz-two6.gadget-giveaways-today.stream/slots.html?brand=xxxxxxxS0
same forward link but flipped me to a different landing
the redirect ends up here
http://google.com-2au-mid2.high-quality-gadgets.review/winip7en_and.html?isp=MyISp&model=MyPhone&MyIP&vol uumdata=BASE64xxxxx&siteid=157271&sitedomain=15017 40365&page=xxxxx&source=$bo_ck&pub=yyyy
Note the interesting siteid and sitedomain tags - suggests someone is getting paid for doing these redirects.

Thanks moa, I've reported them. Unfortunately, which ad networks we use and who to fine or fire are out of my hands.

Even worse today.
Redirect possibly appears to be occurring on an ad for AutoEurope which features a small truck

I'm only having the ad appear on my iPad with Safari (all latest software updates). I have not (yet) had the ad appear on same iPad when using Chrome. Hope it stays this way.

Hi all, turns out some of the "Congratulations" ad redirects are triggered by the phone's accelerometer. If a user puts their phone down on a flat, stable surface, the ad will not trigger. Obviously this is not a permanent solution, but it is another line of defense.

Just tested that theory. Didn't stop them for me
Links appear the same as those reported two days ago.

Site is seriously unusable.
Surely your stats on mobile usage - length of stay, pages is crashing.... This is costing the site money and turning away users.
Why not just turn off mobile ads till you can solve the issue
And a lucky visitor one with voice congratulations. Couldn't get the landing page on this one
