Please forgive me I know it's not your fault but why do we keep hearing these same old stories? Just what is the problem with this site? Every day there seems to be issues with reliability surely in this day and age it can't take months to fix something?

You're correct with your "in this day and age" idea. Things that shouldn't' be an issue clearly are. The problem is that this site wasn't built "in this day and age". As the site has grown, best practices (for the time) were used. Patches were applied and things were fixed in what was the most appropriate way. Many of those fixes left unexpected restrictions on expandability and we are ever closer to reaching those limitations.

Now, we do have a plan to fix these issues. Unfortunately, we're looking at a plate of spaghetti and trying to port it over to the more modern configurations. This is not a straight forward task and takes a tremendous amount of troubleshooting.

Are we working on this? Absolutely. Are we getting closer to deployment? You bet. Do I know exactly when it will be done? No.

I keep saying "we're working on the issue" which has to be horribly frustrating to you. Sadly, that is all I can really say. We are working on the issue, and it is a top priority.

I keep getting asked for details, and I'm reluctant on being specific. This is because if I posted about every little glitch that we are tracking down, I'll spend more time posting and less time fixing. Some of the things are proprietary, some of the things are boring, and some of the things don't require a conversation. I sincerely apologize for being vague, but it's done out of necessity.

Timed out twice trying to get to this thread

The whole site has been timing out; it was painful to get here to report it.

Took me over 40 minutes to get access to FT.... really sad!

Ok, it's not just me. Is there anyone from FT's tech support resolving this problem?

Yeah, I had a problems by yesterday afternoon. It was went down and back online by FTs. It was seen something is wrong with the forums. I am trying to completely done to have posts there. I couldn't get onto the FlyerTalk. So is he will need to get fixable the Internet connections.
