Hey everyone. The database upgrade has been scheduled for next week. It seems some more testing was needed. We'd like to get this right the first time rather than cause larger issues.

Truthfully I'm just sick & tired of the database errors. Crickey, FT wasn't that sophisticated before IB took them over & now we have worst connection problems once the (presumably) savvy IB group took over. Give me a break. I'm not at the dumping FT yet stage, but talk about pushing me to it. Geesh. Enough already - make it work. 'Nuf said.

I got my first database errors this evening, and tonight my connection is slower than it has been in almost a week. This reminds me of this season's Saturday Night Live, where there is a special commentator on SNL news who comments on the current status of the stock market.

"Fix it! Fix it! Somebody gotta just fix it!!!"

Well, I know it isn't that easy.... But thanks for working on it!

Yep, it looks like things are going downhill. Looks like I might have to dust off www.saveflyertalk.com after all.

Hey everyone. We apologize for all of the database issues. We just made a change on the server that will hopefully prevent this from happening so often.

Please let us know if you see anymore issues.

Again, we apologize for all of the inconvenience and hope to make sure your experience here is a pleasant one.

We are hoping to move the secondary database server soon. Some issues have prevented us from doing so sooner but this is one of our highest priorities for the site.

yes, the past two days Nov. 5/6 have seen a number of database errors and we have continued to let IB know of them. Thanks for the heads up though we certainly have noticed ourselves.
