Very generous of you ed ... truly amazing the members we have.

I don't want to put a crimp in your plans, but I should let you know we have already compiled a list of the issues that have been raised in that thread and placed them on a task list. If you would like to continue to compile the list you have and send it my way that would be welcomed, but I'd hate to see you spend a lot of time unknowingly duplicating effort.

I think the workaround thread is a good idea.

Mainly I want to put all the problems that have workarounds where they can be easily found (single long post) with maybe a link to another post detailing the specific workaround for that problem. I figured while I was going through all the posts, I might as well list all the problems and the known status as well. This way you can edit them in as something is done or a new workaround is found, or post it and I'll edit it into the first post with a link to that post.

The best part of a thread like that is all the discussion won't get mixed in, making someone read 300 posts to find the status/workaround/solution. I figure it will take a while but eventually will help all of us.

Thank you very much, ed1, from the gallery.

What Mikel describes is good for staff, but you're providing a set of enabling tools for the gallery.

Mikel, would it not be beneficial for the gallery if staff and ed1 were to collaborate on the latter enhancement, or for staff to go ahead and do it?

Thanks again.

No notifications

I've discovered a slew of comments overnight last night on threads for which I'd requested notification, but haven't received any. I haven't experienced this before. I'm set to "instant email notification" directly below this window.

Anyway, here's a datapoint, in case others have encountered the same, this morning.

(Incidentally, I guess my dog, immediately above, didn't hunt?)

Thank you.

It's happening again. After I posted the above comment, I received a whole "bundle" of email notices over a few minutes' time re recent comments on threads that I'd participated in. Since then, I sometimes get a bundle of notices over a few minutes re comments going back hours. I have seen subsequent comments on threads where I posted last night, but no notices. Nothing in my spam folder. I also have received emails from other sources in recent hours, so I doubt that it's at my end, or mine alone. So, again, a possible data point. Thank you.

Painfully slow again. Just FT - other websites are fine.

I didn't notice any slowness in the last 30 minutes or so. (I've been surfing FT on and off this evening since 7:00 Central Time).

Ad-server jammed up ?

Particularly noticable (now) with any Chrysler flash ... side -or- top.

VERY slow right now, and each page I try to load gives me "Waiting for a.tribalfusion.com". This is on a Mac with Firefox.

I REALLY hope someone can figure this out soon... getting really annoying!

Odd. FT booted me off a while ago and I couldn't log back in (rather it would log in and then unlog me in immediately). After several minutes trying I managed to get back in to FT, and now I notice it is rather slow. Not sure if they are related issues.

Just had the same problem (log in/log off) but after 15 min. or so, it seems to have cleared up.
