Well it seems to be working ok. However I wonder if there is a way for us to select when we want to receive these forum updates? I'm getting them just after noon CET while I would prefer they arrive early in the morning.

I think it would be better on the servers if they didn't try to send to everyone at the same time, eh? If we all customized, or used our setting for timezone, it would be easier to manage I think.

The issue was temporarily resolved, but appears to be down again.

Tech discovered a core cacheing issue with the software that's causing this, and it may be a while longer before it can be resolved. I have no eta.

Can someone from Internet Brands explain what was done to fix this problem and how that fix could have gone haywire yet again.

PLEASE?

We've not yet arrived at/announced a resolution to this problem. Yes, it was working for a while, but that was not a permanent solution. Last word I heard from tech is that it turns out to be a core VB issue that can't be fixed at this time without compromising overall site performance. So, no resolution is projected as forthcoming. Tech may be able to do the occasional restart, but it won't be meaningful until they announce that they have it resolved. We just don't want to unreasonably raise expectations on this. Sorry about that.

Interesting.

Not that I care all that much, since browsing FT via email is about the least efficient method of keeping on top of FT, but it does seem odd that it was working for so many years and then just quit. It seems to me that if it was a core VB issue, it seems like it would have never worked at all, although I suppose the interplay of a number of factors could have intersected to trigger the failure.

Maybe it's time for a VB upgrade for FT.
