I've been asked to remove this post, so I will.
It is every TB member's prerogative to take as long as he or she wants (within the two week voting period) to submit his or her vote, regardless of his or her motivation.

Just to clarify something. I didn't agree to a 'deal'. I voted that posts should count across all forums because I believed they should, for a variety of reasons.
Cheers.

Agreeing to a compromise isn't dirty politics, though. It's something that perhaps our government should do more often.

Nobody said that all FT members agreed to anything. I do think this motion would've failed (with 5 affirmative votes), however, without the compromise. Everyone can do the math to determine how many votes that involved.

I guess I"m one who would've rather seen a compromise being brokered in the, "Let's give it a month. If at the end of that month, it looks like a problem and/or people have complained, then we'll create a games forum and have posts count or not count. If there are many compliants prior to one month's time, we'll proceed with it before then." Instead, there is a "compromise" that is a solution without a current problem.
I don't need to put my hand on the stove to tell me that it's gonna hurt.

I'm sure you can (and possibly will) argue that your Talk Board posts are in that interest but I find your OMNI Cause clbre not in the interests of the people of Flyertalk as a whole and a distraction from what we're all about.

Well, you don't represent me, and I'll tell you why. I went back through your posts, of your last 125, literally ONE has been in anything that isn't ONNI/OMNI-PR/Talk Board. ONE. That to me shows you aren't invested in the building of community aspects of Flyertalk (Community Buzz/Interest Travel/Dining Buzz etc.) or the earning or travel sides of it. How does that represent me as a member where those are the boards I come to Flyertalk for?

If it makes you feel better, fine. I don't represent you. Happy?

Who exactly are *you* to decide "what we're all about" anyway?

Just a man with opinions, same as you. I'm not deciding anything I merely said "I find" and then stated my opinion.
Also, I didn't imply you were any less or more of an anything than anyone. If you need to throw that out at me when all I did was say you didn't represent me, perhaps you have bigger issues than post counts.

Again, I point out that I think there is 1 counting game that seems to still be in progress. As such, I don't think there's a huge problem or would be.

The Flyer portion (points, miles, travel) is very important to me. It's just that I'd probably come about once a week if it was the *only* thing here.

Uh folks, enough w/ the attacks on Rich. As far as I'm concerned, he's a FTer & contributes to FT (and others must feel the same way or they wouldn't have voted for him for TB), & for others to suggest he's not reflects poorly on them IMO.
If you're unhappy about a decision TB made, you can address all the TB members that voted for it. Same when we don't pass something. And that goes for ALL TB motions, not just this one.
This motion has already passed & will be implemented soon. If you've got input on the other items up for discussion in the TB forum, might I gently suggest you post in those threads.
Cheers.
