The LX 777 is supposed to get 2 rows, that would mean at least 6 seats.

I really wonder how it will all play with a reduced F cabin. Some data point on my usual LX93 GRU-ZRH bookings:
1) for 03 NOV no availability in F (I grabbed the last seat on 01 October).
2) for 15 OCT no availability in F since 15 September (when I booked last two remaining seats)
3) for 01 OCT I couldnt get a seat two weeks in advance. So, travelled on 02/10 by taking the last available F seat.
4) in August I had three flights between GRU and ZRH. On all these flights F was sold out as early as mid July.

Of course, it can be very much route specific. But I wonder whether this is a trend rather than an exception.

Maybe just because LH sells its (terrible) F so terribly bad and ends up giving cheap F upgrades left and right to AV/UA/whatnot, it may think that LX does the same

Yes, but this will not be enough. At least the A350's should get 2 rows as well.

Yes, fully agree. I wonder on which routes they are planning to use the A350s?

I am still having some hopes that the initial batch of A350's will be more than 5, either by reducing the A330's fleet or as a increase to add new destinations. Assuming initially it will be a 1/1 replacement of the A343, then it will be routes like JNB, KIX (if resumed eventually) and ICN (if the route will be launched). I think HKG will eventually switch back to B77W.

It does not make sense to have different configurations in light of their strategic objectives. They want their fleet standardized across LH group airlines AFAIK.

Yes, they want standardisation, to achieve economies of scale. Buying seats, planes, sharing partners (catering, handling, etc), maintenance. So it has to be the same seats and layout across LHG airlines. But whether there is one row or 2 row of F class on specific aircraft at LX vs. LH does not counter the principle and the benefits of standardisation. At the core it's still that (totally stupid!!) new F class product.

It was mentioned at a recent HON meeting with LX management. People were expressing their scepticism about the new reduced F and the many C seating options. I felt the conclusion was a bit like: We'll see how it goes.

I think everyone is also wondering how all these options will be marketed and priced. Espcially with the billion seat options in C.

Judging from current Premium fares, the Intern has come up with a number & doubled it

Including a two minute video that spends less than a third of it on the cabin and seats themselves, the rest spent smoking the good stuff.
