Any notion, from those who have been watching for a long time, of when Amex might up the bonus again to 30/35k?

I have to merge my existing SPG account with an account that American Express created for me. When I merge the Amex account into the SPG account, will the link between Amex and SPG update to the correct account, or will I have to notify Amex of the change?

Hi joeags,

The link between Amex and SPG will be updated to the correct account automatically and you should not need to notify Amex of the change.

Searched the thread and didn't find anything...

The SPG cards earn 2x now at "Marriott family" hotels. Does that includes Ritz Carltons? I can't find any datapoints one way or the other.

Besides the extra 2S/5N, what does the Personal Card offer that will make you want to keep it when you have the Business?

How would everyone on here value the $95 fee for just the 2S/5N benefit?

Personally I put absolutely no value on that benefit. I don't have enough stays or nights to reach platinum, and I far exceed the spend requirements to hit gold.

I applied for this SPG card on April 1st for the first time (first time for American Express also), and I used this card for more than 6K in 3 months before June 30th. But I still didn't see the points credited to my SPG account. I contacted American Express on August, September and just now on Oct.16th for three times and was told that the backend department was working on this issue. I was told that there are several accounts impacted due to a technical error. There is delay due to that. I asked why so long for such an issue, but I was just told to wait. Ridiculous. Any other people has similar experience?
