I wouldn't count on it. I got BRGs rejected after 3 submissions due to this packaged rate thing. I couldn't care if SPG.com has a non-packaged rate. If I find a competing site giving out a lower rate with breakfast and late checkout I will gravitate towards that rate.

I found a room on this website that has taxes and fees included for $197. On SPG the room rate is $179, but with taxes estimates to $205. Is there any way to make a claim under this circumstance?

This is my first time getting a BRG, so please hang with me. I checked my SPG Account and my new price has yet to show up. In my email response it says print a copy of the email and give it to the hotel during check-in, so is this all I need to do to guarentee my price?

Out of the 20 or so BRGs I've done, I've never had to show the confirmation, and the correct price has always been on file. But as usual, YMMV!

Sometimes is takes a few days for the rate to reflect online, and sometimes it never does, but you'll get the approved rate in any event. I've never even had to show the printout (though I bring it just in case) - they have always had the correct rate at check-in.

i`m confuse that some time they approved rate with breakfast but some time they not! i got email said`As the competing rate that you have provided includes breakfast, it is considered a package rate and as a result I am not able to approve this claim for you.

It`s not make sense room+breakfast should expensive than room only
but when room+breakfast cheaper than room only = should be approved

because the reason that they said sounds fake and not make sense!
