Problem on SPG website display

Last night whether in FF or IE, the website gave me a big patch of purple background while moving the space where the actual information is display to the far left corner and is compressed, with displays overlay on top of each other. Function such as Print this page is pushed outside the edge of the display and barely seen. This is for both My Stays and My Point Activity.

The only properly displayed page is the Account Overview - even so, it has "fat" purple space on both sides of the display. Also luckily when you view details of the reservation, the display is not distorted.

Issues remain today. Distorted display in every sub-menu.

Frankly I do not like the new website and it seems each time it is tweaked, it gets worse. I understand everyone tries to make the website functions with the mobile devices but at the same time, it seems that endeavor often creates malfunctions when using a computer,, be it a laptop or a traditional desk top. Not everyone prefers the mobile app to access, there are times one would prefer a larger screen than the tiny one on a Smart Phone!

I had the same problem - the entire page was jumbled up, with the main content shifted to the right and a nasty white outline left behind. This was in Chrome. If I opened the page in an incognito window, it looked fine. This lead me to believe that there is some bogus information left behind in cookies. I deleted all cookies for starwoodhotels.com and the page now opens fine.

UPDATE: I spoke too soon. After logging in, the page is a mess again, even after logging out.

Will say it again

This current design is an absolute fail...there's not a single other hotel/airline website where I have to scroll down to see my current year stats post-login.

Certainly a very very minor issue - but on the my account page I am listed as a Platinum Preferred Guest but on the next line it shows SPG Credit Card Member.

I don't have a SPG credit card? Anyone else get this error?

This is one of the worst redesigns of the current mania to make everything look like a touchscreen.

The site, while it maybe looked old fashioned, was clear about the information available and didn't make you work and scroll all over the place hunting for what you wanted to do.

It was a tool.

Someone has now bought into a slick redesign and given up functionality and ease of use in return for this. The use of space is terrible. This would be adequate if you channeled iPad users to it, but that's about it.

A failure all around. Almost as bad of a failure as si.com ...

You can make a site that looks good and is functional too, you don't have to make it look like it's for children.

Oddly enough the iPhone app for SPG looks less like a touch screen app than the website does when using it on a computer. You guys have your development teams reversed.
