4 months. The 2013 SNAs were extended from December 31, 2013 to April 30, 2014. This was announced in very early December 2013 (post here) - so it still may be a bit early for such an announcement this year (assuming one is forthcoming).

Almost all of my ressies show as yours with no rhyme or reason. Disregard it, it's a bug. Click on the actual reservation (view reservation) and then click upgrade on that page. You will be able to apply SNAs here.

None of my SNAs have worked this year.Have a 3 night stay at SOTP Sydney in 2 weeks.Has been showing as ineligible for SNAs until tonight so I go to apply the SNAs but every time I press submit request it comes up with an error saying the stay is ineligible.

Hi drron,
If you would like me to check why your reservations seem to be ineligible, feel free to send a PM with your reservation details.

I'd also appreciate an extension this year. tnw described the situation well - you're looking forward for a special getaway and save all / most of your SNAs for that event and the application is rejected.

Assuming the situation does not improve and assuming you requalify as a Plat50, what good will an extension do? You will have even more expire next year because you are unable to redeem them.

Given the difficulty of using them, ambiguous availability that many of us feel hotels are engaging in shenanigans with, and the short expiry, I'd love SPG to work on something else that would allow us to prioritize stays where we're especially looking for an upgrade.
Also, if you're going to call it a "suite" night award, please stop letting properties "max out" at junior suites in the upgrade pool. A junior suite is by definition *not* a suite.

Could at least use them on less exciting stays in Q1 2015. My problem with the SNA system is that it forces you to strike a subjective balance between the "importance of the stay" vs how early in the year it is. If your big trip for 2014 is in October, for instance, and your SNAs don't clear, you probably wasted lots of opportunities to use them when they might've cleared...

The weirdest I've seen so forth is "Accessible Junior Suite" being the only choice. I'm not too keen on the suite but I need to burn this year's SNAs so I might as well give it a shot??
As the status rolls over 1st of March, I don't see why the SNAs couldn't be systematically extended to the same date.

+1 on all of the above. I have six left, was trying to apply to a trip in early Jan and realized that this year the expiry is back to Dec 31. Why the drama with a late extension last year to April 30 and then make the same mistake this year by setting Dec 31 expiration.
If SPG just aligned them with the elite benefit period rather than the elite qualification period everything would be logical.

I did requalify and do have 10 more to use for next year, but having the remaining expire after being on "hold" for 11 months seems like such a waste, especially as, when I apply them for stays in Europe, they always seems to clear (minus one time, for a one night stay). My upcoming stays next year are all in Europe. Would be wonderful to use them.

I have been Platinum the last 3 years but never quiet enough "nights" for SNA's.
This year I'm 3 nights short and wondering if booking place for total of 10K SPG pts is worth it to earn the 10 SNA?
I travel nearly solely for enjoyment so always looking for those best upgrades and mostly on Pts or C&P stays.
