That is normally reserved for properties who have a unique or circumstantial situation. There is nothing unique or circumstantial about an Aloft not participating in SNA's. Most, in fact, do not.

And should the message simply state “This property doesn’t participate” rather than all the other messages that were given?

Aloft and Element are not required to provide suite upgrades so them participating in the SNA program would be rare, although I have seen them provide upgraded non suites for SNAs as well.

i've used suite nights in the past at a number of aloft properties & at one element property as well....i understand an upgrade to a suite is not a plat benefit but the ability to use a suite night should not be excluded in my opinion....

Aloft is my lower cost go-to in Bangkok, but I hadn't been there in a while until.... I stayed for three nights over New Year's and then another night the following week. First, I note that there is a new GM, who started in the second half of December, IIRC. I know her from her previous positions in Starwood/Marriott.
The hotel was pretty much the same as it's always been, and I like it. While some complain about the walk up/down Soi 11, I've always enjoyed it, myself. So many different sights, sounds, smells, foods, people, etc. But for those who don't enjoy the walk, the hotel's tuk-tuk service is both convenient and accommodating. My first stay was sandwiched in between two stays at SGS. On my request, the hotels coordinated, and the Aloft's tuk-tuk picked me up at the Westin across the street from SGS at the start of my stay, and delivered me back there at the conclusion of my stay when I was returning to SGS. ^
Front door staff, in fact, all of the staff, were consistently pleasant, welcoming and smiling. Front door staff are usually out in the driveway ready to receive guests. Good PLT recognition on checkin. I was offered the usual amenity choice. On the first stay, for three nights, I took breakfast. On the second, only for one night, I took the points.
The room remains the typical, formulaic Aloft room. As others have mentioned, the bedroom carpet has been replaced by a Pergo-type laminated floor. (The floors in the vanity, bathroom and shower are unchanged from what they have always been, some type of rock material, I think. At least that's how it feels and appears to me.) The same problem exists with the shower that has been there since the hotel opened, -- since there's no seal at the bottom of the glass door, the water tends to run out over the shower threshold into the toilet area. This could obviously be solved, and inexpensively at that, by installing a rubber seal designed for the purpose along the bottom of each glass shower door.
I stayed at Aloft several years ago when it first opened, and found the breakfast actually awful. Barely above inedible. I was pleasantly surprised on my stay over New Years when I had breakfast all three days. It's been changed completely. There's a reasonable variety of freshly baked items in addition to both Thai and western hot foods. There's an egg station for whatever type of egg you would like. Pancakes, assorted meats, fruit, vegetables, etc., all there in a self-serve buffet style. At the end of the restaurant nearest to the front of the building is a bar for the full range of coffee drinks, which are delivered to your table. Overall, I enjoyed the breakfast there. One item I did miss, however, was a daily newspaper. I understand that it's not a brand standard at Aloft to deliver daily newspapers to each room; but it would be nice to have, maybe, a half dozen available at breakfast.
Checkout went just as smoothly as the rest of the stay.
Overall, if your budget does not provide for the likes of LC (SGS), StR, W, etc., Aloft is an excellent choice!

Separately I will agree that staff is generally quite good and while I've never stayed as long as three nights, it one of the go-to places for a late arrival/one night stay.

Dr., did you make it to the bar! WXYZ.
The staff at the bar have really made a difference during my stays. While the front desk staff are all great, they are usually quite busy.
But, over the past few months, I have enjoyed spending more and more time there, even popping in when I’m staying elsewhere.
This wasn’t always the case. There was a Thai manager who was often confrontational with guests, myself included. As I understand it, they moved him to the pool level.
Recently, the WXYZ staff have been great. The current manager even helped me iron out a few bumps that I had during my stay. It’s not a big outlet, but they really makes guests feel comfortable and are another example of the great staff that this hotel has.
Great work WXYZ!

Actually, 2lovelife, I've never been to WXYZ bar. I probably should try it on my next visit.
