Please correct me if I´m mistaken, but I entered a simple routing (<29000 miles) ex KEF into the new RTW tool, and was told that the fare in C was 989000 ISK + taxes (which is also the price shown in the document linked in this post). 989000 ISK should be equivalent to 3119 € (as of July, 19).

Typically I go RTW once a year and doing so from Japan has saved a good deal of cash. The only real downside for me is that the final leg is a year later ... but I've managed to extend that by a few days so it's not been a problem.
Recently I needed to go to Asia, so I just re-routed the final leg changing from LHR-NRT to LHR-ICN-TPE-NRT which cost under £100 - magic. Of course I then needed a new RTW ....
Good news again. I thought I'd get caught out by the £:Yen ... but the price in Yen had dropped quite a bit - so it wasn't so bad! This ticket is coming around the world in the other direction (which isn't as good for me) but I'll survive!
I suspect Iceland is good value due to currency issues ... a good one to take advantage of I'd have thought. Good luck.

Calculated the price using the Yahoo currency converter, both the US and German website show 989000 ISK = 3119 € (1 ISK = 0.0032 EUR). Other websites I now checked also show 5500 - 5600 €, so I guess Yahoo has some sort og bug. Sorry

For exotic currencies I'd check the website of the central bank:

In the meantime, does anyone know if it's possible to get a list of the fares (even if you have to select each country, one-by-one) off Star Alliance's website? I know it used to be possible, but I can't seem to find any way to get a price other than working up a whole itinerary in Book-and-Fly. I was pretty sure that at one time you could select a country from a drop down and get the price for starting from there.

I never did see a complete country overview on any public webpage.
And on most airline pages the pricing info is hard to find (or sometimes outdated).
This is what I got for starting in Europe (in EUR from 2010/07/01):
STAR 1 - max. permitted miles: 29,000 2,619 / 6,012 / 11,231
STAR 2 - max. permitted miles: 34,000 3,182 / 6,959 / 12,610
STAR 3 - max. permitted miles: 39,000 3,713 / 8,202 / 14,887
STAR SPECIAL - max. permitted miles: 26,000 2,239
