List of *A airlines that do and don't charge fuel surcharges for awards

Help I know 3 that don't, the US based. This is when using that programs FF miles for that airline's awards or any star alliance partner award.

I'll be happy to make this a master thread thus can others help me out?

YES on own metal & NO for *A-Air Canada
Aegean
Air China
YES-Air New Zealand
YES- except for partners who don't charge YQ to their own members-ANA
YES-Asiana
YES-bmi
NO-Continental Airlines
EgyptAir
NO-SAS & BLUE1
YES-Singapore Airlines
NO-South African Airways
Spanair
NO-TAM (yes when originating outside of Brazil)
YES-TAP Portugal
YES-THAI
YES-Turkish Airlines
NO-United
NO-US Airways



Miles and More * members
- YES
Adria
Austrian
Brussels
Croatia
LOT Polish

I think there is a master thread in the Miles Buzz forum, but I couldn´t find it right now.

Air Canada: fuel surcharges only charged for flights operated by AC, but not on those operated by *A partners
Miles&More (Lufthansa/Swiss/Austrian/LOT/Brussels Airlines): yes
bmi: yes

SA is dropping fuel surcharges on awards at the moment IIRC.

I presume you mean *A FFPs which charge or don't charge fuel fines on awards?

NZ & SQ yes
Adria, Austrian, Brussels, Croatia, LOT, Lufthansa and Swiss are all Miles and More and so yes for all these.

He's making a valid distinction between airlines and frequent flyer programs. Since a whole bunch of airlines use M&M, this makes sense - one entry instead of seven.

blue1 and SAS share the same FFP, maybe they should be grouped together.
