Inadequate pilot training on a new plane is the parallel. Boeing has been here before.

QUOTEThere were many more flights in 2000-2009 compared to 1960-1969. Accidents per flight were incredibly less in the 2000s. Flights are safer now than in the 60s.. I'm sorry you did not know that.

And how many more flights were there in 2000-2009? Total number is kind of irrelevant. The rate of incidents means a lot more. Also, in which countries? How many lives lost? Etc.

It's pretty obvious that they don't want the non-observant fliers (probably 90% of their customers) to even know that they are on a MAX.

But, let's face it, these birds are flying all over the country every day without incident. That's certainly no guarantee, but it's enough for me. YMMV.
Sounds like you flew an -800 then. The MAX safety cards definitely still say MAX 8 on them. What was your flight number and date?

The aircraft was also introduced as MAX 8 in the safety briefing

Still the same Max8 flight cards on my flight LAS-PHX yesterday. I was saddened that the front bulkhead seats don’t have moveable armrests.

LAS is always exciting to fly out of. Almost a fight when boarding. And another lady who sat next to my wife was about to have a heart attack because the elderly lady in front of me, who was using a cane, took 30 seconds to get out of her seat.

No beverage or snack service, either direction LAS-PHX.
