They must have just started processing these. I ordered my gift cards 8/31 and my 12,000 points were credited to my Rapid Rewards account 9/15.

Woo! Mine just posted as well. I ordered them around 8/21. Also, in case anyone is seeking a way to reach CC spends, I was able to recoup about 82% of the nominal value after fees via eBay. I strongly prefer points to paying with cash (the front-end refundability is worth the loss of reward point earning to me) at Southwest, so this was a win-win for me.

Do you mean you resold the card on ebay for 82% of face value? I'm confused what you mean.

I mean that they sold for about 92-94% of face value, but after factoring in PayPal and eBay fees, sold for about 82% of face value. Given the virtual 20% rebate in WN points, it's a 102% return (2% profit) plus the advantage of the CC spend. Roughly, YMMV, etc.

You can sell it on PlasticJungle or Cardpool for 83% value or 87% if you are willing to take an Amazon gift card in return. Not worth the hassle of getting in on this deal unless you plan to use them at Marriott's.

It would be really nice if they immediately e-mailed an electronic gift card (similar to Amazon) that you could print off and bring with you. The whole 4-5 day shipping time adds too much uncertainty to the equation for me to bother with this promo when I factor in the possibility of a trip change or cancellation.

I thought that's what you meant. For 2% profit ($20 on $1,000) it seems like a lot of work and a slim margin for error.

Using them for employer-reimbursed stays yields 20% in Southwest Points and 3.5% cash back through BigCrumbs.

What's weird is my points posted yesterday and my wife's haven't yet and we ordered them pretty much simultaneously (within 5 minutes).

I'm confused on this. The terms and conditions say: "Marriott Rewards points will not be earned with the purchase of the GiftCards." Do they?

My WN points posted on 9/15. I placed the order on 9/4. Pretty quick turnaround.
