Well, from that it sounds like they just want a certificate of vaccination, and the EU vax passport certainly is that. You might ask a different Chilean embassy/consulate. Be sure to ask explicitly 1) if the EU vax passport is acceptable proof of vax , and 2) does Chile have any requirements/restrictions regarding when the last vaccination was received (eg, can you enter if your last vax was more than 270 days ago - the "validity" period of the EU cert).

You might verify if Chile accepts your vaccination using this webpage: https://visaguide.world/news/vaccine...ty-for-travel/

Remember, it is the airline check-in agent who decides. There is no longer any paperwork review after flying into Chile except if one plans on going to Rapa Nui. For US origin flights, I have heard that no one checks and even if they do, just the initial jab or jabs depending on single or double certs are asked for with no issue of how long ago.

And exactly THIS is the problem. Overwhelmed incapable governments around the world passing the task to the poor check in agents.

Covid was a big heads up and hopefully will never happen again.

I've contacted several embassies, and none provided a straight answer...

Have you looked into getting an e-sim for your trip? I use Airalo, which gives you 20GB of data for 30 days on the Altoque network in Chile for US$23.

The e-sim suggestion worked out great, thanks! Only $11 for 7GB data for 5 days on moviestar network. Purchased in MIA Admiral's Club and worked almost immediately after landing in SCL.
