Hello, tried to book the luxury glc 43 amg or the extraordinary x5 m60 at LAX but sixt cancelled my bookings, I have booked the XFAR x5 or similar what are the chances of getting an upgrade.

Hello, I had the same issue I tried to book the x5 m60 multiple times but the request was cancelled by sixt what vehicle did you end up with at the end, thanks

How far advanced was your booking? (mine was for next year) so I'm guessing it depends a lot on availability and they probably can't confirm if it's a few days out (or weeks)

The X5 M60s and X7 m60s are pretty rare still. They just started coming in a few months ago. I was able to have a x7 m60 twice being one of the first customers to do it. I did see a few x5 m60s at Florida locations. I think as demand and time goes on , more will come. They are much higher specked. Merino leather , dynamic cruse control ect.

besides the m60s, the x5 and x7s stated coming with msport package which is nice. I think SIXT wins when it comes to this. Been diamond for a few years now.

I had my X7 M60 reservation status go from "in process" to "cancelled" for a reservation in San Diego that was still 24 days out. I guess their fleet isn't as large as some of the bigger players as yet. The auto-generated email is a uniquely European impersonal touch to it -
Hello Mr. ABC - We have reviewed your booking enquiry for 09/23/2025 at 20:00 for the San Diego Airport station and unfortunately are unable to confirm it.

Patently untrue. I've rented X5, X7, 340, 440, & 540s at SFO. All but the 440 had ACC.

Just data points but I've rented multiple X5s and X7s from JFK, LGA, Brooklyn, and Manhattan and none of them had ACC. I've also checked other X7s with a manager at JFK and Brooklyn to see if there was ACC but I haven't come across any yet. Looks like the west coast gets better equipped BMWs than the east coast as some of the cars had NY, NJ, PA, and FL plates.

Also, I had a brand new MB GLS from BOS and it did have MB's dynamic cruise control.

Yeah, the west coast fleets seem a lot better equipped with more car variety too.

Was at Battery Park last night, saw the new generation X3 30i, an E class all terrain wagon, and the new generation X2 in M Sport form.

An interesting way to confirm it would be comparing similar cars from both coasts, if they happened to be at the same location.

The 7 series I rented from FLL two weeks ago did not have ACC. I didn't even know you could get a 7 series without ACC?

Hey all, curious if anyones got any recent experiences out of SFO….got a trip 10/31-11/5, given the amount of travel we’re doing we opted to book an i7 on Turo….but I just looked at sixt prices and they are comparable…..does SFO have i7s? Reliably? We’d really prefer something with self driving…..

I believe that's its own category with guaranteed model, so yes, if you were to book that you do get it. I'd take Sixt over Turo any day, I've heard way too many horror stories.

Ty! Went and re-checked rates, an X5 was half the price of the i7 so just booked that, canceled Turo.

i7 don't rent out that much so you can probably negotiate a pretty decent upgrade rate if they have them available when you check in.

Anyone notice if sixt is getting any range rovers or the range rover sport. I haven't seen the new ones yet, and the old have been phased out. Lots of x5’s, x7s and gls’s. Including the m60s.

Ordpc Oct 12, 2025 2:51 pm

I haven't seen any Range Rovers or RR Sports at Sixt. National has the new RR Sport; sometimes you can find a good rate that is competitive with Sixt's X7 rate.
