yes and even through the G60 steering wheels all have the mode button in the cruise control section, none of the 2024s that Sixt has actually have adaptive cruise.

MY25 adds adaptive to the premium package in the 40i so we can expect the content will improve in coming years.

In the US, maybe - all the EU rentals I had with them have the fanciest cruise control with self-driving options.

I can confirm my 24 530i rental does not have adaptive cruise. This seems typical for any USDM fleet version of a Euro car, which will generally have the most basic "premium" option group (likely in an attempt to make the car not unsellable when fleet use is done) and nothing else. One will have to wait for such niceties to become standard at a lower trim level. My experiences with Sixt in Germany have cars with a significantly higher spec.

I rent from jfk all the time. They really don’t upgrade at jfk. If you want an x7 book it. Same with an x5

I’ve seen it there but I personally haven’t rented it. There x7s are very nice. That’s what I get normally. Unfortunately JFK just doesn’t really upgrade. It’s pretty small overall.

I just rented from MSy airport this past weekend.
While I had received a 530i myself, I had noticed something extremely interesting.

A Maybach S680 (yes with the V12) loaded with Night Series Package in matte black
Another Maybach GLS600 with Night Series Package as well.

I was tempted to ask about them but I didn't as my flight was delayed and I was running behind.

Wow, that's pretty incredible. The Maybach S680 goes for $225K-$425K. Wonder what the CDW cost is on that model? :D

The only thing we can think of for cars that expensive to be on the lot at Sixt in MSY is that Superbowl LIX is next week. Maybe they have them allocated to some high-profile players or VIPs.

I'm back for a trip to California! Has anyone made an after-hours reservation at LAX yet? I'm landing at 11:00 pm at the airport but I think I'll be at the agency a little later (internal flight from Maui, and EU citizen), probably around 12:30 am. Do you think this is ok or should I wait until the next morning?

There is no such thing as an "after-hours reservation". Either you get there by their 1:00 AM closing time, or you would have to pick up the following morning after 6:00 AM. You can make your reservation for 12:30 AM and if you miss the last shuttle, then you can just pick up in the morning. They should honor your reservation then.
