There is definitely a delay in the miles being posted to your Krisflyer account. I sent a transfer request on Jan 15, 2015 and they still have not posted (18 days later). I called SPG and they said they sent the request to Singapore Airlines 3 days after my request. I called Singapore Airlines and the rep told me that it would take 6 - 8 weeks for them to post. I told her that I have transferred miles in the past and they posted in 7 days. She looked at her records and said, "Those were done 'expedited" and these would not be." She wasn't able to explain why. I figure it is because I've only flown S.A. a few times and always on transferred miles. I am not much of a "customer" of theirs as much as a free consumer of their flights. She told me to call back in two weeks and check. That being said, if you plan on flying Singapore Airlines on transferred miles I would do it well in advance and not count on them for specific flights. The flights I wanted are already taken...so, I guess I will have to wait and see what I can do in the future with the miles that I transferred. I hope this helps.

Yup, I'm in the same boat. Transferred on Jan 15, and still nothing posted. I also called and was told "6 - 8 weeks." So, there we go!! I saw a thread were an SPG Lurker said to call them after 14 business days (not including weekends) if they have not posted and request an inquiry. So, that will be Thursday for me...I'll let you know if I find anything out.

There doesn't seem to be much rhyme nor reason to how long it takes.

still waiting on 9 Feb (Mon) at 2.30pm. sigh. I can feel availability evaporating... and i am starting to doubt the "HSBC posts on Monday" theory as stated in prior postings

still waiting for HSBC. i think the "HSBC posts on Monday" theory is officially debunked. now, it's just a waiting game - tomorrow, 9 Feb, will be 1 week since the phone banking request. i hope the seats i want will still be available when the miles finally surface.

In my experience, HSBC (and DBS) are still broadly consistent. Sometimes, it is Krisflyer who delays by one or two days.

just when i gave up checking on an hourly basis, the miles credited at about 9.00pm today. so the Monday theory still holds.
