Starwood:
Requested: Sunday 6/18/17 @ 16:00 EST
Wed 6/28/17: called starwood to ask status of transfer; agent told me the transfer went through on Sunday 6/25/17...however nothing showed up on my krisflyer account;
called krisflyer right away who informed me that it can take up to 6-8 weeks (!!) after the transfer is completed from starwood. I asked if this could be expedited since I had an award ticket with a *A portion on hold. He said he could help me but needed the transaction ID.
Called starwood back (since they don't give transaction ID in email confirmation), got the transaction ID, and called back krisflyer. He put in the request same day, Wed 6/28/17
Thu 6/29/17: still no sign of starpoints in krisflyer account...called back Krisflyer who apologized and re-sent the expedited request
Miles deposited in Krisflyer account: Friday 6/30/17 (sometime before 08:00 EST)
Overall, this was a pretty frustrating/stressful process BUT the Singapore Airlines agents provided what is probably the best customer service I've experienced with ANY company. They were phenomenal. They offered to call me back and did so at the specified time. One agent called me back after we hung up to inform me that while she could hold the SQ portion of my award indefinitely until the transfer is completed, she could not do the same for the *A portion of the ticket because it was a partner airline. I already knew this, but it was very thoughtful of her to do this.
