That particular case of mine was sorted via call center.

Had another similar case a few months ago, JAL bought Y pay upgrade to domestic J at the airport. Denied again via the website and later saying it was credited. This I never followed up via phone call as it was just a few points and just checked now never credited

interesting. Thanks for this! My boarding passes for the missing segments don’t have a QF number printed on them, but seems like this is one possibility for what has happened. CX are opening an investigation into it so we’ll see what happens…

I've had 8 AA flights, not credit for the same reason. When booking with AA, it asks for First, Middle and Last name in 3 separate boxes. I completed all 3. When issuing the ticket, it only displays First and Last name as Middle is not a requirement for AA or the US. Now Cathay are rejecting all my claims.

I am now inserting my middle name along side my First name in Box 1 in the new bookings I am making, lets see if that makes a difference.

yes it’s messed up 😂
YOU BEAUTY! I am struggling with this today and yes, it's exactly the same. 3 (actually, four) departures on the one day. Thanks for explaining this to me.

Interesting...
I did TPE-x/HKG-x/ORD-BOS in late Nov. ORD-BOS was CX-coded and operated by AA. All 3 departed on the same calendar day and all 3 credited on time, though the ORD-BOS was credited 1 day later (understandable). Maybe this doesn't apply to code-share or, rather, it is that only 2 flights can be credited per day?

I think it's hit and miss. UPdate - after a LOT of back and forth with cathay on various channels last night, I got it credited in time for year end. Phew.

I'm having the same issue. Bought a ticket before 20AUG that should have allowed me to earn under the old rate for some flights. There were involuntary changes leading to a re-issue, although Customer Care promised me they would still honour the more preferential earning for me. Sitting at 586 status points now with my GO status supposed to end today. I have called and wrote to them a few times asking them to make sure I would still be GO after tomorrow but was told they have no leniency policy this year and, if I get dropped to SL, they would move me back to GO as long as the missing status points will be credited by Mar2026, but this is not what I wanted, and I have no control over how long CX will take to correct this other than the 8-week timeframe they gave. Hope I will still be GO tomorrow and the points difference will count for my 2027 status. That would have been wonderful.

I started submitting claims today and submitted the CX e-ticket Itinerary as part of the process. A couple CX flights that were Business Light/I fares are showing as "discounted economy" on the pending transaction list. Is this something that I can expect will be resolved on its own by CX when the SP and miles are credited?

Just to report back CX actually has no leniency at all this year. I haven't received the adjustment status points yet, and CX actually dropped me to SL, despite only 14 points short and having called and emailed in advance that I'm waiting for the adjustment. I should be moved back to GO once the adjustment is credited, but still surprised that CX would have no leniency at all this year.

i am not surprise that no leniency for this year.
if they give any leniency , people will just credit the extra points in 2026 , which will lead to another problem and un-fair. the fair way and the best way is to have a clear cut-off with no leniency.

Having same issue waiting for QR to confirm before they can credit to my account. I’m now dropped from DM to GO, and even with multiple booked rev flights in the next few days they have no leniency and say they can only mark it as urgent, but no control on when they can confirm. I even sent them boarding pass + certificate from QR confirming I’m on the flight….

As much as I understand I don’t like how they’re handling it especially as they know this will happen… so they are unfairly treating passengers flying expensive fares close to year end.

Was short 10 Status Points to requalify for DM. Waiting for Alaska Airlines flights on Dec 15 and Dec 19 to credit to be account. It's been over almost 3 weeks from my first AS flight (and I requested a missing mileage claim on Dec 26). Not sure why this is taking so long. Lack of leniency for missing 10 points for a 10 year DM member is laughable. I'm seriously considering moving all my revenue bookings in 2026 away from CX at this point and taking a membership holiday.

why havent you? clearly CX has stuffed a lot of people and only way is to vote with your feet. i know a guy who went on stupid asia MR in final 2wk to stupid destInations with multiple TPE turn around just to cross the 1.2k mark. there are others who winge and stay. In.my view CX succeeded - they made my friend spent extra 13k USD for those credits and guys who got dropped to sil/gold still flying with CX

me? i left cathay pathetic program 12yrs ago, usually spend 13k USD a year on QF to make OWE and enjoyed all the DM equivalent treatment on CX. very happy and still laughing about all the deval i seen
