Update January 2020:
According to statusmatcher.com TK will only issue the the status match challenge to those holders of the following status:
Oneworld Emerald
Finnair Plus Gold (Oneworld Sapphire)
Skyteam Elite Plus
Emirates Gold/Platinum
Etihad Gold
Oman Air Gold
Other Gold Card holders including *G are out of luck.
Please report your experience in this thread and note the useful information in the Wiki below.
It appears that status matches are only granted once per lifetime, so think carefully before requesting if you might not re-qualify.

TK asks for Elite card scan AND Account activity within last 2 months, so it's best if you have some activities!!
Timeline can range from few hours to few days, be patient!
02/11/2015 - flolee
It looks like TK might also ask you for a scan of your Passport now. So if you are in a hurry better submit it right away in the first place with all the other documents.
Date Requested
Current Airline and Status (note list of matchable status above)
Information submitted (i.e. physical card scan, activity statement, etc)
Any replies received other than confirmation
Date Confirmation Received

Multiple reports from December 16th 2015 onwards state that TK now only grants a match to 4 months "elite trial", requiring 1 international TK flight during the 4 months following the match to extend it to one year and 15000 k TK status miles during that year to extend elite status to 2 years:
04/11/2017 - CoweyB. TK has clarified that once a status match is given any miles collected during the first year of the match do not count for renewal - despite the email suggesting that 25,000 miles collected in the first year will secure renewal. TK has said that it is necessary to collect 37,500 in the second year to maintain Elite status for a further two years once the period of the status match ends.

Oneworld Emerald
Finnair Plus Gold (Oneworld Sapphire)
Skyteam Elite Plus
Emirates Gold/Platinum
Etihad Gold
Oman Air Gold

As of start date of elite membership within 4 months trial period one international Turkish Airlines flight should be realised for extending your card validity date to 1 year, if 15.000 status miles accumulate at the end of the first year elite membership will extend 1 year more and the total validity date will be 2 years.

Sadly, I live in Perth right now. It is hard to find a milleage run route. Whatever, thanks your answer and thanks TK to give me the chance to get a SA*G. (I have a SAS Gold to June 2026 which is match by TK*G) If the status down to Classic Plus, I may try to fly Skyteam or Oneworld. (but still no any OW card) Or I could use my Accor*P and Marriott*P to get a QR Gold and SQ*G.
I previously held SQ *G for 2 years (2022-2024), thanks to on-ground status miles during COVID, but it would be very difficult to maintain the status.
I regularly fly using SQ and TG, but mostly on short/medium haul and definitely won't hit 50,000 miles per year.
To achieve 50,000 miles, it would take me USD 4,000 per year to fly SIN-JFK-SIN in PY 3 times.
Whereas, for TK, it would only take me around USD 2,000~2,250 to maintain the status for 2 years (CGK-IST-MCT-IST-CGK + CGK-IST-CGK).
Nevertheless, please chase the status according to your travel pattern and not for the sake of the status alone

Good luck.

Maybe due to language barrier? I don't know, but a few members in this forum said that it would be better if you can speak Turkish.
Based on the above-mentioned, I don't think you have a chance to extend/re-negotiate the deadline.
If you want to try, ask TK through their Customer Contact Form, which is the same form you use to request for a status match.
In another case, please analyze your travel pattern and condition.
If you often fly in Economy and if status is very important for you, do the mileage run by booking the cheapest TK Economy fare to IST before 31 March, that should be enough to extend the status for 8 months from 31 March.
But if you always fly in Business Class, status is not very important and you can always qualify for Miles & Smiles Elite by collecting 40,000 status miles.

Congratulations on your status match
Now good luck finding cheap Economy or Business Class flights
What's the problem with Firefox?[/QUOTE]
Well I'm used to starting from wherever in Europe offers good value, so am flying FRA-IST-FRA next week to get me up to 12 months elite status and *A G. That cost around 540 in business class (and one leg is still showing as A330!)
I'm going to be booking a trip to central Asia later in the year, and there are various good value starting points for that. That will just get me over the line to 15,000 status miles and take me up to 24 months *A for around a further 1,300.
I need to check this, but it seems that if I can acquire a further 10,000 status miles in my first 12 months, thus achieving 25,000 status miles in my first year, I'll then get extended to 48 months. That looks like a trip from northern Europe to Dubai, for around 1200.
Firefox didn't seem to do anything at all when I pressed the Submit Feedback button. I tried a couple of times, without success, and then, given how flaky the whole process is, decided to switch to Chrome which worked fine.

By the time we reach the expiry date, and the status was not retained, it would be all too late.
In my case, I was matched on 1 Oct 2024, with an expiry date on 1 Feb 2025.
I flew using TK on Jan 2025 and accrued 15,926 miles.
According to the status match requirements, I am eligible for 8 months extension (international flight to IST) + 12 months extension (accrual of 15,000 miles), but the expiry date was still on 1 Feb 2025.
Only on 1 Feb 2025, the expiry date is updated to 1 Oct 2025, not 1 Oct 2026.
Only on 1 Oct 2025, the expiry date will be updated to 1 Oct 2026.
Both of us have the same logic that 25,000 miles accrual on the first year of status match will give us a 4-year Elite/*G status, but it will not be confirmed until the end of the second 12 months period, or until somebody in this forum confirm his/her 3rd year of elite status.
If the above is correct, in my case, I have to fly and accrue 9,074 miles before 1 Oct 2025.
But the 2 years extension until 1 Oct 2028 (again, if our logic is correct) will not be shown and confirmed until 1 Oct 2026.
I do wish TK system updates the very latest expiry dates as soon as the requirements are achieved.
There are conflicting reports about this "25,000 miles in the first year of status match" pre- and post-COVID, but I tend to stick on the latter logic.
Thanks for the info about Firefox.

I am stuck in a feedback loop for about a month now, which is just as everyone else has described, TK consistently asking for the same stuff over and over again.
Sending a statement with no ST flights in the last 2 months was a problem, as expected, but that's now resolved.
Where I'm stuck now is sending the front and the back of my physical FB card which.... I don't have.
FB have stopped issuing cards 5 years ago. I might have a gold one in a drawer somewhere from ages back. But it's all digital now. I've explained this to TK but they just parrot the same stuff back which is insufferable.
Has anyone mamaged to get past this hurdle?
Edit: for my latest attempt I have tried submitting a cropped screenshot of only the front of digital card, with a separate cropped screenshot of the back of digital card... will report back in case that was effective...

I think things may best work like this
- Status Match. Clock 1 TK flight in 4 months. Adds 8 months (1 year total). Clock at least 15 k status miles (including the first flight) in year 1. Adss another year (2 year total)
- Add in year 1 at least 10 k *A status miles -> 25k, gives elite protection afther the first 2 years (so gives year 3 and 4).
- Clock in year 3 again 25k *A status miles in total. Gives elite protection after the 2nd 2 years (so gives year 5 and 6)
And so on. If you do not clock 25k *A miles in year 3 (or only 15k TK miles in year 1), you have year 4 (or 2) to top up till 37.5 (if I am right) for status protection.

If I clock 1 TK flight in 4 months + 15k status miles on TK in year 1 + 10k *A miles in year 1, is my Elite status secure for 4 years from the status match date?

Just keep in mind that TK can change the policy anytime they wish.
I'd suggest you to fly the 10k miles in TK metal, just to be very sure. If anything goes wrong (ie. miles was not credited or different ticket class), you will be at the mercy of the TK customer support.
Illustration:
1 Jan-30 Apr 2025 = 4 month status trial, need to fly 1 international TK flight to get 8 months status extension.
1 May-31 Dec 2025 = 8 months extension, need to collect a total of 15,000 miles (including miles from 1 Jan-30 Apr 2025) in TK flight to get 12 months of status extension.
Optional quest: Collect a total of 25,000 miles within 1 Jan-31 Dec 2025, retain the status until 31 Dec 2028.
1 Jan-31 Dec 2026 = This is considered the second year of your Elite status and if you fail to collect a total of 25,000 miles in 2025, you need to collect a total of 37,500 miles in 2026 (including miles in 2025) to retain the Elite status for another 2 years until 31 Dec 2028.

Didn't know there's a separate thread here on Turkish elite status match. There was a bit of confusion whether getting 25,000 status miles in first year of status match (including 15,000 status miles on TK metal) gets 4 years or the clock is reset in the second year. Did anyone have a recent experience, as someone got a different outcome recently this month?
