Well I'm used to starting from wherever in Europe offers good value, so am flying FRA-IST-FRA next week to get me up to 12 months elite status and *A G. That cost around £540 in business class (and one leg is still showing as A330!)

I'm going to be booking a trip to central Asia later in the year, and there are various good value starting points for that. That will just get me over the line to 15,000 status miles and take me up to 24 months *A for around a further £1,300.

I need to check this, but it seems that if I can acquire a further 10,000 status miles in my first 12 months, thus achieving 25,000 status miles in my first year, I'll then get extended to 48 months. That looks like a trip from northern Europe to Dubai, for around £1200.

Firefox didn't seem to do anything at all when I pressed the Submit Feedback button. I tried a couple of times, without success, and then, given how flaky the whole process is, decided to switch to Chrome which worked fine.
