World of Hyatt Credit Card benefit details and notes
Anniversary Free Night Award (Category 1-4)
- Issued 10 weeks after cardmember anniversary date
- Expires 1 year after issuance
- Ineligible for use with Club Lounge Access Awards and Complimentary Suite Upgrade Awards
- The spend counter for this benefit tracks total cumulative purchases during the current calendar year (excluding $95 annual fee and any other non-qualifying transactions).
- The spend counter for this benefit resets at the beginning of every calendar year. Chase does not make this spend counter visible to customers, so interested customers must calculate their own. Note that this is a separate spend counter from the "Two Additional Night Credits" spend counter below.
- Issued 1-2 days after statement closing date of the triggering transaction (the transaction causing the spend counter to cross $15k)
- Expires 1 year after issuance
- Ineligible for use with Club Lounge Access Awards and Complimentary Suite Upgrade Awards
- Cardmembers are eligible for only 1 Additional Free Night Award per calendar year (e.g., spending $30k does not result in two Additional Free Night Awards
- The spend counter for this benefit tracks total cumulative purchases since account opening (excluding $95 annual fee and any other non-qualifying transactions)
- This spend counter never resets. Chase does not make this spend counter visible to customers, so interested customers must calculate their own. Note that this is a separate spend counter from the "Additional Free Night Award" spend counter above.
- Issued 1-2 days after statement closing date of the triggering transaction (the transaction causing the spend counter to cross a multiple of $5k)
- For World of Hyatt status qualification purposes, the night credits are associated with the TRANSACTION date of the triggering transaction, not the posting date and not the statement closing date. For example, triggering transactions on 12/31/2022 (transaction date) will result in 2 night credits for the 2022 status year, regardless of posting date or statement closing date. Based on FT reports, transaction date appears to be based on the US Eastern Time Zone.
- World of Hyatt Credit Card: timing for $5k spend 2 qualifying nights
- 4 Bonus Points per $1 spent on purchases at Hyatt hotels
- 2 Bonus Points per $1 spent on restaurants, airline tickets purchased directly from the airline, local transit and commuting, and fitness club and gym memberships
- 1 Bonus Point per $1 spent on all other purchases
- Discoverist status every year
- 5 qualifying night credits every year
- No foreign transaction fees
- Travel & purchase coverage
Other notes and tips
Chase spending tracker
- The Chase spending tracker is useful for calculating your spend counter for the $15k Additional Free Night Award and your spend counter for the Two Additional Night Credits
- Chase mobile app: "View all transactions", then switch to the "Spending Summary" tab
- Chase website: From the main page, on the right hand side, click the "Spending & Budgeting" menu, then choose "Spending Summary"
- Remember to add spend from prior calendar year(s) as needed (see spend counter notes above), and to subtract $95 annual fee and any other non-qualifying transactions from all years
- Full list of non-qualifying transactions: returns, refunds, balance transfers, cash advances, travelers checks, foreign currency, money orders, wire transfers or similar cash-like transactions, lottery tickets, casino gaming chips, race track wagers or similar betting transactions, any checks that access your account, interest, unauthorized or fraudulent charges, and fees of any kind, including an annual fee

Or spend $15k on the card, which triggers a free night separate from the anniversary free night.

Its also possible to get a second FNA each calendar year, after spending (charging) $15k on your WOH card. This is based on calendar year spending, not rolling 12 months as per other benefit(s) for the WOH credit card.

The points for my statement ending 9/21 posted today, but for some reason, the points for just the dining spend did not post to my WOH account. Anyone else seeing this?
Disregard... The dining points posted separately later last night. I've never noticed this in the past where the points for a same credit card statement get posted at different times.

New SUB is 5 free Cat 1-4 nights after 4K spend, that has to be the best offer this card has had by a mile

I was hoping for a new and exciting offer after canceling my WoH after seven years of membership last winter. But I don’t think I will go for this one. The limited use-by date of certs and lack of flexibility combined with uncertainty of our 2025 travel plans makes it less appealing to me than if it was a higher points SUB.
Do we know when this offer is set to expire? Maybe if my travel plans for 2025 firm up, I might change my mind.

Its certainly much better than the misleadingly advertised 60k offer that they ran for years.

Thank you.
And “the check is in the mail”. Credit Card SUB offer end dates are notoriously inaccurate, either intentionally and/or incompetently and/or uncaringly and/or due to demand. “10/31” could easily end up being 10/5/24 (tomorrow) or 11/31/24 (yeah, I know, wanted a date about a month away
) or 5/31/25 or any other date you can think of. It’s somewhat risky to delay, for CC SUB offers best policy is: strike while the iron is hot*.
(* “strike while the iron is hot:
(metallurgy, blacksmithing, literally) To strike a hot piece of metal, especially iron, with a mallet or other tool before it cools, while it is still hot enough to be shaped.
(idiomatic) To act on an opportunity promptly while favorable conditions exist; to avoid waiting..”)

Passed 15k spend last statement period, 3 days after statement close and no Cat1-4 and none of the 4 ENCs I expect (nearly 10k last period on estimated tax payments). The points for the spend did post backdated to statement close date. Hope it's just a little slow and I won't need to chase it down.
EDIT: Well, two EQN posted. It should be 4, but maybe things will trickle in. No FNA yet either. I specifically aimed to spend 15K on it this year to get 6 EQN + FNA without having to care about the EQN spend carryover since open.
EDIT 2: 15min later and the other 2 EQN and the FNA are here. I should not have let my faith in this incredibly janky system waver.

I got the Hyatt personal bonus somewhere between 26 and 28 months ago, but the Hyatt Business bonus somewhere around 11 months ago.
I canceled the Hyatt personal card months ago and I'm trying to get that bonus again and I'm getting the message
• You earned a new account bonus on a Hyatt card in the last 24 months
Does my receiving the new account bonus on my biz card make me ineligible for the personal card bonus? I don't believe that's how other Chase cards work.

Do Elite Nights Post after Statement Date or After Payment Posts?
Do EQNs post after a statement closes or after a payment is received for that statement? My statement closes around the 1st of the month and I always pay near the end of the month, so it's unclear to me if EQNs are posting following the payment being received or after the (next) statement closes a few days later. If nights post after a payment is received, I'm considering making my December payment early to ensure nights post well before the end of the year. Thanks!

The credit card is not available to either (i) current Cardmembers of this credit card, or (ii) previous Cardmembers of this credit card who received a new Cardmember bonus for this credit card within the last 24 months.

However, the rules change all the time. In this situation you could be the index case, or maybe better written here: “SUB victim zero”
.(* "Also known as an index case, patient zero is a term used to describe the first human infected by a viral or bacterial disease in an outbreak.")

I have a question about this:
Two Additional Night Credits with every $5k spend
In my case, I plan to make an additional purchase next month to reach $15k YTD to trigger the free night certificate as well as 6 additional night credits for 2024 (in order to exceed the 50-night milestone level for 2 more suite night certificates).
I was confused about whether I need to make the purchase prior to December 31st or my statement closing date of December 12th. I just called WoH, and the rep told me I need to make the purchases by December 31st (instead of Dec 12th) for the 6 night credits to count towards 2024 and for the free night certificate.
Is this correct? If so, I will make the purchase on Dec 15th, so that I'll have an extra month before paying my bill.

EQNs are awarded as 2 EQN every $5k, not 6 EQN every $15k. To get 6 EQN shortly after your statement on Jan 12th, you’d need to have $15k spend on that 1 statement.
