The previous thread is here: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/chas...20-2022-a.html

In April 2020 Chase criteria for approving BUSINESS card applications became more stringent. All Chase INK products are business cards. Chase also issues co-branded business cards for United Airlines (2 different biz cards), Southwest Airlines (2 different biz cards), Hyatt and IHG.

For general information about applying for Chase cards, including explanation of the unpublished 5/24 rule, please review the Wikipost of the PERSONAL card thread: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/chas...ds-2023-a.html

Anyone can apply for a business card as a sole proprietor. If your business has a registered company name, which Chase can verify, you may use the name to apply. Otherwise, use your legal First and Last name as the business name. Do not add any extra words, do not use a made up name. If Chase cannot verify the name the application will fail.

Useful Chase telephone numbers
(888) 269-8690 - Business Credit Card Application Status Line, automated
(800) 453-9719 Business Credit Card Reconsideration Line with live rep
(800) 453-9719 Credit Reallocation Office (Business cards)
(888) 622-7547 Executive Offices

Twitter: @ChaseSupport

Note: The automated Status Line often shows no record of business card applications. This does NOT mean that there is a problem with your application. You will need to contact Chase to learn the status, or wait for Chase to contact you.

You can use a single Username on chase.com to manage both Business and Personal card accounts, but you will initially need to set them up separately, and then telephonically ask customer service to combine them by merging the Personal account into the Business account. It cannot be done the other way. Once personal account is merged to business account, if all business cards are closed while keeping one (or more) personal cards open, online access to all cards will terminate and a new personal (online) account will need to be created using a different username than previous personal account.

Update: It is possible now to link Business and Personal accounts online. First set them up separately, then log into the Business account and follow this click path: Icon at the top right that looks like a person -> Profile & Settings -> Account Settings -> Manage Linked Accounts. Then look for the "Link relationship" option for the personal accounts. For more information on linking accounts: How to link Chase personal and business accounts?

Hello - I am looking to accumulate a lot of Chase points to transfer to Hyatt for a big trip in the Spring of 2025.

Both P! ane P2 are 2/24 aned 3/24.
P1 has Chase ink preferred and got 100k bonus and 40k referral (received in 8 of 23)
P2 has Chase ink preferred and working on 100k bonus (will get in 6 weeks or so)

I plan on P2 referring P1 for another ink card (is this allowed?)
If I do so, should I refer for the preferred or (even though I already have one?) or should I downgrade to a no-annual fee card first? or should I refer to a different ink card - if so which one?

Then can P1 refer P2 again (rinse and repeat?)

or would it make sense to get a personal sapphire card in the mix sometime?
I am generally applying as I reach the SUB

thanks!

I did it about 3 weeks ago, met the quasi-SUB spend with estimated tax payments.

Just in case youre not aware, Chase has both personal and biz Hyatt cards, each with 24 month SUB timeframes.

Had P2 already met the min. spend?

ok. A little searching. Chase ink cards are subject to 24 month rule before a new SUB. Correct?

Ink Preferred approved 9/21. Still not received as of 10/1. Seems like longer than usual.

What is the minimum credit limit that you can take an Ink down to?

For example:
Ink 1: limit $6k
Ink 2: limit $8k
Ink 3: limit $4k

Can I pay ink 1 and ink 2 down to 1k each, then move 5k and 7k to Ink 3? Or how much do I have to leave them with?

Definitely 1k is acceptable. That's where I take mine. I think someone else reported $500 was ok.

Called and rep said 1k is minimum if you're leaving a balance, $500 is minimum if you are paying it fully.

No. I think the pending hit after P2 used card and the first purchase posted.

INK preferred dp in progress

Any advice for getting an approval is appreciated.

==
Background: 5/24 but with one being an AU; got 1 CSP, 1 CIU, 1 CIC active. Used to also hold a united card. Last chase card approved was Mar 2023 for the CIU with a significant higher limited than the CIC approved in Feb 2023. All the Chase cards are actively used especially the CIC.

==
SEP/11 - Submitted the app using SSN only as a sole prop. Forgot I previously froze my Transunion so had to call immediately after app. Also explained one of my 5/25 is an AU card. Rep verified again a bunch of questions and then gave me a case number as well as the status check number 1-800-453-9719

==
No updates since then. Only the "7-10 days" msg.

==
OCT/03 - Called again. Same "7-10 days" and hit "0" after the auto msg (although it didn't say the option. learned the trick from this thread -- thanks!). Got transferred to a rep. She told me rejected mainly due to "too many accounts". I then mentioned the AU card again and then she reviewed everything again. On hold for 5 mins. Checked the business info again. Another 5/10 mins told me she's done here and the app is now redirected to "Verification team".
==
Fingers crossed and hope to get an approval.

Yup, instant approval for World of Hyatt Biz card....pretty surprised - no instant card number, card will arrive in 7-10 business days (annoying)

Ink business cash vs ink business unlimited? transfer partners?

I am trying to determine which one of these should be my next card. My goal is to ultimately get Hyatt points.
Myself and my wife have the ink business preferred - so am I correct that if I keep those cards active, we can use points from either one of these cards to transfer to chase UR partners? (again, manly Hyatt).
I have a $6k travel expense coming up, it doesn't look like either one of these gives extra points for travel costs but the unlimited would give be 1.5 points per dollar vs 1 point per dollar on the business cash.

Is my thinking correct? I would hate to mess up and not get any transferable points - thanks!

I know sapphire preferred would get me 2x points, but with the referral (40K) and the larger welcome bonus from the ink, paired with the fact it is no annual fee, I think I want to save that application.

cheers

Yes, as long as you have an active premium card, you can transfer to Hyatt. You will first transfer the points from the Ink Biz Cash, to the Ink Biz Preferred in the UR portal, and then transfer them to Hyatt.
