I got the same offer. Be aware that it costs $175 to add an authorized user.

Yep, already have three Plat authorized users. Probably going to add another as a gold card (free) authorized user, which appears to still count based on the language of the offer terms

I've had Diner's Club longer and while always had some lounge access now get Priority Pass included in the $95/year annual fee which meets my needs.
55k/$550 is probably on the higher end of their retention offers. I wonder what made it not worth accepting because to me 55k points mostly covers the annual fee as does $550 and even if you just use 1 single benefit such as the $200 airline credit you're more than fully covered. Then if you use more benefits, i.e. $200, FHR, $100 saks, $200 uber, etc you're automatically on the winning end. I get this card isn't for everyone but with a good retention offer like that I'd hold onto it for another year.

Personal Gold
$26K spend over the last year
Offered $200 with a $3k spend in the next 3 months. Took it as I plan on doing that anyway for the 4x grocery spend.

About 2 weeks later: online chat, going circular, I just kept asking is there any offer. Finally they offered $225 to keep the card open, no spending needed. Accepted!!

Amex Plat. . You can earn a $300 statement credit after you spend $3,000 or more in qualifying purchases on your Card within 3 months of accepting this offer starting today. Spend maybe 2-3k in the past year total, have had for 4-5 years.

Happy to help. I always appreciate a good terms and conditions readthrough

Plat 1st year renewal. ~ $32k spend. Have had Hilton card for forever. Just after AF had posted
Online char offered nothing.
855-857-7657. Offered 40,000 or $400 for the 3 month spend by a nice gentleman. Took the $400 statement credit. He kept mentioning the length of time I have had an account so I think the ~20 years with the Hilton card helped.
Thanks for all the information and advice on this thread and good luck to everyone,

I'm not seeing any Centurion reports here so datapoint:

Relatively low spend the last year, called, only offer was "perhaps you'd like the Platinum Card instead?"

I am in a similar situation and got the same $150 offer. The agent also said that a better offer may be available after AF posts.
