Bus term?
I would exit from the Arrivals with my bags, cross the street enter the building where the train station is and instead of going down a flight to the trains , Id turn Left and keep walking (past the doors to get to Term1) and at the very end is The Rad.
So do I still go outside and cross the roadway as If Im heading to The Rad? If yes then what do I do to get to get to " the top of the airport"? Is it easier just taking the tunnel/ And where do I find it? I assume if I have to claim my bags like the last 4 times, that I can reach the HP using the airports baggage carts?(not sure if I will have 1 or 2 checked bags, if 1 cart wont be needed)

the Hyatt Place is on the far left of "The Circle" complex. The Rad is left of "P1" (not shown on this pic)

Accessing the old town from HR Zurich Airport is super easy.
- A 2 minute walk from the hotel to the tram station. travel to the old town/Zurich center is 50 minutes
- A 4 minute walk to the train station. All trains in direction of Zurich stop at the main station, they run roughly every 5 minutes. travel time 9-13 minutes (depending if it's nonstop or 1 stop at Zurich Oerlikon)

The 1st time I went to The Rad I did a couple of walk backs but it was 7pm, this trip it will be 10PM and I want as much sleep time as I can get.
eg just got back from MIA, to get to the E check point from the air train theres a short cut if you take the correct el or you will be doing a ton of walking, which I did a few times till I found the not so known el that is the closest.
It seems from the other post above I need to get to the bus term area on top of the airport whatever that means and dont know how to do that. I dont recall seeing a sign in the train building saying Buses but I never looked for it, nor do I recall seeing any bus area at least on the main floor of the train building and do remember I think a Megos store sort of straight back once entering that building as well as many stores along the far wall and as I turned Left. Just dont know how to access " the top of the airport"
Im sure once there I will figure it out, just due to the much later hour I now will be arriving would rather have the step by step directions rather then to maybe play spin the wheel and take a chance
May years ago when I stayed at and there was a Renaissance I would wander around outside (dont remember how) till I found the tram station, The Ren is long gone and I believe the that tram stop has moved as well Dont remember walking into the train building to get there but could be dead wrong.

dont need a map perse , let me ask it this way, imagine you just stepped thru the doors of the Arrival Term and are now standing outside and across from the building housing the trains (downstairs) how would you walk to The HP from there, do u even exit the Arrivals buildings at that point?
The 1st time I went to The Rad I did a couple of walk backs but it was 7pm, this trip it will be 10PM and I want as much sleep time as I can get.

OK... so, if you exit Arrivals Terminal 2, then cross the street and enter the building which houses the trains, then go either
1) RED PATH: up to the buses, exit the building, walk by the bus stations, cross the tram tracks and enter "The Circle" complex. Then turn LEFT to the HP, if you turn towards the RIGHT, that leads you to the HR
2) GREEN PATH: not up to the buses, but turn LEFT towards the Radisson, (can't recall, but you may have to go down 1 floor first), don't go over to Term 1/Radisson, but take the TUNNEL that leads you over to The Circle, go up the escalator/elevator to the Circle, then you'll need to turn LEFT again towards the HP (this is the covered way should it be raining heavily)
There are signs for the buses and The Circle.

this is from the HPs site; By plane: From Zurich Airport you reach us within a short walking distance. The airport is directly connected with the Circle via an indoor tunnel. Follow the signage "Circle" as well as "Hyatt Place".
which is worthless! as it doesnt tell me how t get there only the means to, it should at least say to enter the Train Building
with your map and directions I can now know I will get there 1-2-4 and not be standing outside T2 and saying" OK Now What Do I Do?"

We had a cat 1-4 cert to burn and this seemed like a good place to use it. We booked a one night stay at the tail end of our 4 nights in Zurich with the previous three nights at the Hyatt Regency nearby. Overall, it is acceptable for a short stay or if you are staying here for work but if you have a choice, choose the Hyatt Regency nearby.
1. We checked out pretty early at the Hyatt Regency and dropped our bags off with the front desk for a latter arrival. I did not even attempt to check in as we did not need our room, we were going to be out all day. They deposited them into a closet but did not give us any ticket. Its all about trust in Switzerland.
2. We checked in later that day and it was a very friendly agent that checked us in. No real "thanks for being a Globalist" kinda stuff though. Just here is your room and we noted that you do not want a connecting room and assigned accordingly, which is very nice. I asked about breakfast and he said my room was marked as receiving breakfast as a Globalist.
3. This property might have the name Hyatt Place but it really does not resemble a Hyatt Place you are used to in the US. It is also a lot more expensive.....
4. There really isn't much to upgrade you to as a Globalist. They gave us a view room which is nice and while I do like the view, I would never pay for it. The park view is best in my opinion as the airport view did not seem that good.
5. I found the color scheme and lighting to be poor to be honest. When walking to our room there was areas where they touched up the paint on the walls and the color was way off and not the sheen. Just looked bad for a one year old property.
6. The room was actually ok in size and comfortable. Nothing brilliant but there was nothing bad about it. Again, I would not want to spend a lot of time in this room though. So, if I was there for work or a one night stay at the airport it is definitely ok for that. That seemed to be the majority of the clientele as well which made sense.
7. We had a nice dinner in the restaurant. While the menu and environment was nice. I did not like the ordering system. Your choice was go up and order at the bar and pay upon making your order or you could order from the app. The problem is that you need to close out on each order. I find that a pain personally. I make my initial order, close tab. Order and appetizer, close out and pay. Order a meal, close out and pay. I mean, that is how it works at McDonalds but did not really like it here to be honest. I did find using the app the best way as it was pretty easy if you are paying by room charge and I would no more than put in my order than I would see them working on it. So, if I am staying there and and can use the app and just do room charge, ok. If I had to put in my credit card info each time I ordered in the app, that would suck. The food and service was very good in the restaurant and ultimately, that matters most.
8. We found breakfast ok. It definitely was not like the Hyatt Regency nearby. First, there really wasn't anyone to greet us to take our info. I noticed others just walking in and starting to eat. Finally a lady came to take our info but it did not seem very organized. It seemed very hectic and disorganized. I am wondering if we just caught them at peak time. We found breakfast to be a typical American Breakfast Buffet, good quality of course.
Our stay was fine and this place is perfectly acceptable but my first choice (especially as a Globalist) is the Hyatt Regency nearby.

I did not get any photos of breakfast but if you look at the photos I posted for the HR nearby, it is the same minus the menu at the table. I saw a reference in this thread to omelets made to order but I did not see that. Not saying it didn't exist, just was not obvious to me.

During my stay earlier this year, there was a station towards the back of the dining area where the hot food options were. Can't remember if it included omelets, or just eggs made to order. I didn't order anything, but I assumed it was either.

I really wish I took pictures now as I don't trust my memory these days. I will say, it was definitely a different setup than what 59Impala showed above. I do see an area to the right in their photo at the hot section that looks like it might do eggs to order but I may have just simply overlooked it while there. Again, breakfast did not look as plentiful as their photos, I am pretty sure of that.

Pleasant One Night Stay November 2022
I recently stayed at the Hyatt Place Zurich Airport The Circle for one night. Despite having no history or status on my WoH account I had a great stay and was very pleased with this new and modern property.
Especially the cozy and creative design and the pleasant and casual atmosphere of the huge lobby, including the reception area, zoom bar and restaurant has made a lasting positive impression. There are workstations, a printer and departures / arrivals displays for ZRH airport as well.
The booking was for a 2 Twin Beds View room. I put in a high floor request and was very happy with the 7th floor airport view room I was given. I did not request the park view as I have another stay at the HR next door coming up where I will probably enjoy the park view, so I am happy to experience rooms on both sides once. The airport view from the high floor was actually enjoyable, watching the traffic flow on the ramps towards the airport parking, the trams pass by and a little peak of the airport action past the Radisson.
The room, even with the large twin beds, is very spacious with 31 sqm. The condition was immaculate which can be expected considering the property opened less than a year ago.
I found the mattresses to be a bit on the soft side, which isnt my personal preference, but they were very comfortable nevertheless. The pillows where thick and firm. Like others have mentioned (and possibly similar to the Hyatt Regency) the temperature control goes down to 18 deg C, but it doesnt stick, it will revert to 21 deg C iirc. There are no windows that can be opened. The slight noise of the aircon did not bother me at night.
The round table might be bothersome for doing extended serious work however the Cozy Corner sofa is very comfortable and I would happily work all day and night on it with its movable laptop table. This feature also allows two persons to have a place to use their laptops which is great.
The safe fits a laptop or two and there is an ironing board hidden underneath the bed next to the window. There is no Nespresso machine and no water provided. The tap water is fine unless your preference is carbonated water, which is easily purchased at one of the large supermarkets inside the adjacent shopping center (Coop, Migros etc).
The gym is not huge but has all the essentials with Technogym machines as well as free weights.
When dinging / drinking at Zoom bar or restaurant and using the digital ordering system, you can select charge to the room in the drop down menu as opposed to credit card payment, to make sure that your incidental spending counts towards your eligible spend for earning WoH points and towards lifetime globalist status. If you prefer to use a credit card and still want the spend to count, you can try to approach reception with the invoice number to link it to your account or rather opt to order at the bar where you can make sure your WoH account number is added I suppose.
I was quoted 64 CHF for breakfast for two when I asked for it in the morning, since I did not have it included in the rate and did not book it as an add-on before my stay.
If you like breakfast and have no status that would give you free breakfast, it might make much more sense to do a Hyatt Privee booking (min 2 nights though) at the Hyatt Regency next door because the room rates are pretty similar. This would give you daily full breakfast for two in the hotels restaurant plus a $50 property credit per room per stay.
The location is obviously very convenient if you are flying, but even if not, The Circle is a nice area to explore, to shop at or to visit the airports observation deck that is open to the public for a small fee. (If you have a boarding pass it's free)
Even with heavy luggage or a luggage trolley from the airport, both Hyatt properties can be reached easily without obstacles or stairs. Wherever there are stairs, there are also elevators. When coming through the tunnel, you are covered for almost the entire way from the airport. There are about 20 or so meters before you reach the entrance of the Hyatt Place that are not covered by a roof where you could get wet if there was rain or snow. But its such a short section, its no big deal. You could also survive this short distance in winter in a t-shirt if you were travelling without any warm clothes whatsoever. The airport and shopping center are quite warm even when its almost freezing outside.
In the Hyatt app, there were options for Hyatt Digital Check-in as well as Hyatt Mobile Entry. While Digital Check-in worked well, a visit to FD was still required to check in. I activated Mobile Entry in the app on both an Android as well as an iOS device and everything appeared to be active but neither worked to unlock the door. When I asked FD they informed me that the property so far never enabled the functionality since they opened last year. This was slightly confusing because according to the app the feature is available at this Hyatt Place. Nevermind I just stick the key card into my phone case and pretend lol.

I am adding a few more photos.

I was looking for a one night stay prior to 3 nights at the PH. It shows "Guaranteed Availability" for a King room, which is the standard room for points. I take it that they are saying they will make the standard room available to me as a Globalist and push someone else out... rather than a standard room is available for cash only and not points.

We booked here for a late April night (will be connecting to US and by the time LX lands at night no flights till the next morn). We know that LX will only check our checked bags to ZRH and we will have to claim them and recheck them the next morning, in the past we stayed at The Radisson and pushed the cart with our bags into the room, is this possible at the HP? Hopefully yes since it makes it alot easier on us.

I have done this myself....(at least all the way from airport baggage claim to the hotel reception).
However there is one small section inside "the circle" shopping court area where you have to use a clear glass elevator because there is a long flight of stairs. The baggage trolley fits into the elevator, so should be fine.
If alternatively you stay at the nearby Hyatt Regency, you can avoid the outside courtyard stairs, and the walk is slightly shorter.
Whichever you choose, when leaving the baggage claim area you will need to reach the tram and local bus area before you proceed to "the circle" shopping area, so look out for the signage for this.
