posting todays chef's selection of RC appetizers, again amazing. we were here with friends and they are non-meat eaters. we advised the staff the day before and it was arranged accordingly. simply great and very tasty.
truly the best RC in the western hemisphere.

A quick review of my recent 2-night staycation. We used a TSU to upgrade to their standard suite. The premium suites are currently not being sold (1 Ambassador and 1 Presidential Suite). They have 2 standard suites, the Regency Suite facing the Park and the Regency Executive Suite, which is about 3sqm/32sqf larger but facing the interior of "The Circle". we were first confirmed into the larger suite, but changed it, as we wanted to face the park. It is a true suite with 2 sliding doors seperating the living and bed room, inbetween the 2 sliding doors is the warderobe, safe, luggage storage, ladies make-up table, etc. I already posted pictures in post 53.
I checked in using the app. However it is legally necessary to pass by the check-in desk, as they need to check id and the guest needs to sign a phyiscal document. The mobile key never worked (also on my first stay not), dunno why, I mentioned it to the agent. Could simply be an issue as the hotel is so new. App check-out worked seemlessly.
Staff again was really great. so caring and really doing everything to make our stay enjoyable. As we celebrated our wedding anniversary, I in advance arranged for a couple of things (such as ordering flowers to be delivered, newspaper), and everything worked out just fine.
Regency Club appetizers served in the restaurant and simply amazing! I can only imagine, how wonderful the club will be once fully operational. Dinner in restaurant "Babel" is superb as well. loved it. many airline and airport employees come here over the weekend, just to have dinner (only for in-house guests at the moment), they obviously have a special rate.
Globalist breakfast is anything from the la carte menu, with no spend limit. very generous!
A couple of pros:
not much cons, and actually peanuts...
Other things to note.
Really a wonderful hotel, I can highly recommend it and hope that travel eases soon again and you can try it out yourself.
let me know if you have any questions.

A couple of pros:
- great staff
- wonderful food
- fantastic lounge, with terrace
- very nice rooms, well layed out
- nice park. it is a pretty expansive park and nice for walking, jogging, or just enjoying the nature. There are some nature trails and ponds along the way. It looks small when looking from the hotel, but it actually is pretty large. There is a small hill, and an elevator for those who cannot walk up, with a pretty nice view over The Circle, airport and you can see the Alps on a clear day.
not much cons, and actually peanuts...
- in the suite, the large TV is mounted to the wall and you cannot swivel, a bit difficult to view the TV from all angles of the sofa.
- the white and dark curtains, as well as the blinds all function electronically. Can be a bit challenging to figure out, which button is for what, esspecially in the corner suite. The bathroom has blinds, but we did not find out how to close them
Other things to note.
- As the hotel is on airport property, there is no smoking allowed. Also on the terrace of the RC for instance, smoking is not allowed. There are 2 spots about 250ft away from the main entrance, where smoking is allowed.
- The toilets use purified rain water to conserve water which is great. First time I used the toilet I was surprised, that the previous "user" did not flush. but after my flushing, it was still yellow. Same color as regular urine. There is a note in the room, which I hadn't seen first. Just that you are aware and not shocked

- if you fly with the Lufthansa Group or Easyjet and Vueling, it is best to use "Check-in 3", which is a 3 minute walk from the hotel accross the bus station. Check-in 3 is just above the train station and the airport shopping area. so you can get rid of the luggage and either go back to the hotel or do some window shopping

- Check-in 1 and 2 are another 3 minutes to the terminals.
Really a wonderful hotel, I can highly recommend it and hope that travel eases soon again and you can try it out yourself.
let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for the review and lounge food selection photos 59Impala! I was thinking of spending a few days at the HR Circle and 1 day at the PH Zurich, but given the quality of the lounge and high food pricing, wondering if I should skip the PH Zurich altogether? How easy is it to access Zurich city center/Old Town area from the HR Circle?
Additionally, do the Regency Executive Suites have natural light exposure or are they interior facing only? The website photos seem to suggest interior facing only. Ambassador and Presidential suites look stunning!

Accessing the old town from HR Zurich Airport is super easy.
- A 2 minute walk from the hotel to the tram station. travel to the old town/Zurich center is 50 minutes
- A 4 minute walk to the train station. All trains in direction of Zurich stop at the main station, they run roughly every 5 minutes. travel time 9-13 minutes (depending if it's nonstop or 1 stop at Zurich Oerlikon)
The presidential suite has an own terrace facing the park.

couldn't edit my original post and add the pic, hence repeating here. sorry.
not sure if I understand your point re the "lounge". The PH Zurich does not have a lounge. Globalist breakfast (if you are Globalist) is fantastic at PH Zurich.

Thanks for the detailed answers. Re: the lounge, I meant it might be worth skipping the PH Zurich altogether (no lounge) and staying at the HR Zurich Airport (lounge) to save on food costs? And given the convenience of accessing the old town from the HR Zurich Airport, maybe it's not worth extra points to stay at PH Zurich (or at least reduce the number of nights I have planned here)?

Hi all - this is my first post on the Hyatt forum and wanted to share my experience.
Stayed at the HR at ZRH airport for one night due to a long connection. HR and Radisson Blue were priced the same for a normal room, but wanted to try out the newest hotel in the block.
Excellent staff, well designed lobby and rooms and a very good stay overall. Worth pointing out the great gym and spa on the top floor. The hotel is facing a park, which is quite rare for an airport hotel. You can go for a walk/run in the park and then go up to the gym for some fitness or just a nice sauna.
I would choose the HR again over the Radisson. It has much less the feeling of a traditional airport hotel, being in the Circle and facing the park is a nicer experience than the Radisson. In terms of convenience for check-in it is practically the same. Maybe 2 mins more for Hyatt, depending on which airline you fly.

Can you tell me what phone/camera you use? The pics are great.
