I loved the nyc pastry place Dominique Ansel in Geller shopping area in DTLA. it’s near the aapl store and Cheesecake Factory.

Not only this is 50 miles from home, unfortunately Yelpers report this location has closed. Moulin is only 4-5 miles away!

Yesterday we went to Tandem, which I firmly believe to be the best bakery in the country. We got the breakfast sandwich on a biscuit with local sausage (which I suspect has close to a stick of butter in it) and the cherry pastry thing that was essentially a croissant with cherries and mmmmmmmmm. And two chocolate chip cookies.
Today I made bacon and eggs for breakfast, and a Home Chef beta box we got. TOnight's recipe was salmon with a compote of sauteed cherry tomatoes, garlic, and green onion; gemelli pasta in a cream and spinach sauce, and parmesan cheese toast.

Mixed green salad with a full haas avocado

I mention the avocado because Ill make another mixed salad for family supper with avocado (Im getting too long on avocado!) when we have our king crab legs. Is there such thing as too much avocado in a day?
