Ah, another company that wants to hook into my phone and wallet. I really hate that $%#$....
I checked out the chargepoint site and it seems there nearly no charging points available anyways atm. I'll play with it sometime when the wife and I are both traveling since she loads up on all the apps, lol. Thank you for all the details! Probably saved me 30 minutes of frustration, lol. |

Yeah, the number of different companies/apps/cards/etc. for EV charging even just within the Bay Area is definitely an irritation; the space seems ripe for some consolidation :p

So for long-term parking, fastrak does nothing. Since the feature setting seems to be removed from fastrak, I believe they silently cancelled the program without letting anyone know.:td:
Cost of long-term parking is also wrong everywhere--it's $25/day now. |

And I don't know if I was always flying at peak times or what but the handful of times I tried, the new garage was coned off and they were directing all incoming traffic to the old garage.
I found this cut down on time searching for a spot since the floor they were directing to had plenty of spaces available. In the past, I've often spent more time than I wanted to searching for a space across multiple levels of a garage (once I gave up and switched to the other garage) due to the unreliable sensors. |

Note: FasTrak is no longer accepted as a payment option at SFO's parking facilities.

Not so much EV-specific, but my last few trips they've not only been directing incoming traffic to a certain garage, but to specific floors on garages (using cones and/or attendants). Possible there was a detour for those with EVs.

Yep, that's the drive-up rate. Can still get $21/day when booking online, at least it's still there for the dates that I've checked. I checked the flysfo.com page again and you're right--I didn't see the first box of rates was online and the second was driveup. Thank you for the added clarification. To give someone a sense of timing, I spent more time in the train and walking to t1 than I did driving into the garage and parking. Definitely leave some time for the walk--it was nearly as long as the train ride. |

Arriving on AA and heading back to LTP is a particularly dreadful experience. It's about a 1/2 mile walk just to get to the nearest AirTrain station, followed by long train ride around the terminals. Even just exiting T1 to get to the domestic garage/rideshare pickup is a pain. |

T1 is the worst from standpoint of getting in/out (especially out) of the airport quickly.

Some additional throughts/questions about long term parking at SFO.
Had a quick weekend trip and parking at the long term garage on the right, not the one directly in front and wife found an ev spot with a 110v plug. We didn't have our charger with us, but I took a look at the plug point on the return and it's pretty stout--not just a regular outlet like I was expecting, and it is actually 20a vs just 15a. Would have been good for charging for sure. Still not sure about leaving what is now a sought after tesla accessory where it could be stolen though. Also, I forgot that both Anza parking and Burlingame Airport Parking (across the street from Anza) are right by my office. I read some of the experiences in this thread, but does anyone have any recent data points for either of these? |

ParkSFO is similar but farther from your office. Shuttles seem more frequent but time to/from SFO is usually same as Anza. I do not like their "coupon" system and the price is never any better than Anza. Never used BAP. |

How recent do you need? We have used Anza at least annually the past 5 years and nothing ever changes (except masks). Shuttle is always waiting when we drop car at lot. Shuttle always seems slow when we are waiting at SFO (always call to request it). Reserve online (no prepay required) and print bar code for discount.
parkSFO is similar but farther from your office. Never used BAP. we have been consistently happy with ParkSFO - it’s a bit more of a pain to get to shuttle at garage since you have to go down elevator, but busses are much more frequent (IME) and never have to call at SFO - they are consistently there every 5’ish minutes from our experience. We also are fine with SFO long-term, who we used when they had the great deals of the pandemic (I think it was half a day free for each paid day in like late 2020 or early ‘21) - but since they got rid of that they continued to raise regular prices and just not worth the premium over ParkSFO after that. |
Thank you both for the feedback on Anza. Interesting to hear such divergent experiences, but I saw the same previously in the thread as well.
I guess I'll be the first to try bap as it seems like I can go to the hotel and talk to them first about it. I see shuttle buses for both companies regularly on my way to and from the office so both are definitely making regular runs and staying busy. |
