Do people still risk BART? Ridership is down 90% due to covid. I’m not excited about sharing a shuttle van with strangers for 10 minutes, much less a long Bart ride. Even with vax that’s still a Hard pass.

For a weekend trip, from a cost+time perspective, SFO parking is a better deal. IMO PS. R/T for me from my house to SFO via UBER is $52.29, so while airport parking is still technically the most expensive, its competitive and make the most sense for this trip. |
Looks like the $18 parking in the short term domestic garage is no longer. SFO is still giving discounts for both long and short therm parking if booked online which are pretty competitive. Looking at a random 5 day rate Long term comes out to ~$10 per day and short term at ~$20 a day.

Agree that online rates aren't bad at the moment. |

The $18 rate in the domestic garage is still available, it's just not being advertised. Made an advance booking, and it was one of the options offered.
Going back and forth to Oakland, this is far and away my best option from a cost/time/comfort/convenience perspective for periods up to about a week or so. |
Yesterday I picked up $10 a day at SFO long term.

Hmm, I just played around with this and it seems like the domestic and A/G garages are $24/day for the 1st 3 days and decreasing thereafter (4 days is $90, $144 for a week)

Might have to look into the parking in the domestic garages again.
LTP is becoming more of a pain lately. The last few times I was there, the parking space occupancy sensors were completely unreliable. The last time, after circling the new garage for several minutes (which showed around 100 spaces available at the entrance, with seemingly as many green lights above occupied spaces), I couldn't find anything and had to drive over to the old garage to find a spot. All this of course before another 15 minute AirTrain ride that awaited. |
Did the pre-pay parking rates on-property at SFO go up in the past few days? Last week I was pricing out some parking using the website pre-pay option and it was returning something like 40% off the posted rates in both the long-term garage and the main garage near the terminals.
Suddenly today, no matter what dates I use, it's just offering full price. I don't think I had any kind of promo code either... |
There was a promo (no code required) if you booked online, but I don't see any references to it on the website anymore (compared to a previous version in the Internet Archive), so it probably just ended.

Plugged in a few dates and it looks like the discounts come back starting in January. Probably pulling the discount for the holiday season would be my guess.
