I've found that Level 6, above the AirTrain level, is easier... I think people give up before they get that far up.
I really don't like taking shuttle buses so I park there quite often. Yes, it can be a bit of a walk to the AirTrain, but for me it's worth it, since I really don't like buses. |

But isn't that level not covered? Or is that level 7?

Parked there yesterday. One garage was blocked (the one where you have to walk over a bridge to get to AirTrain; not sure if that is old or new garage). Took a while to find a spot. Started at level 5 and worked my way down to 3. Signs with green numbers indicating free spots were totally inaccurate and useless. I agree with previous poster that if you can find a spot close to elevator on any level it is a good spot.

Yes, trying to figure out whether or not to take advantage.
I’ve got a trip that would require 5 days of parking. This would bring the cost to use LTP to $100, vs. ParkSFO (which I usually use), at ~$95. I’ve been pretty happy with ParkSFO, particularly that there is rarely more than a few minute wait for the shuttle on either end. Have not done LTP since the pandemic…but when it started getting busy again, it was often a PItA to find a spot, including the last few times the new garage being completely blocked off which means to get to the AirTran is a bit of a hike (not that big of a deal for me personally, but with bags and 2 kids, gets a bit…not ideal). Not even sure all else being equal, whether LTP is any better to use than ParkSFO. |

I believe you can do a prepay and use the code up to 2 hours before entering the garage so you can wait until the day of if you want.

Here's what I would do--check occupancy of the garage at the sfo web site and then make your decision. I believe you can do a prepay and use the code up to 2 hours before entering the garage so you can wait until the day of if you want.

I may make some speculative reservations with the promo code. Can get a full refund as long as you cancel 2 hr prior.

The new prepaid discount for on-airport parking at flysfo is the bomb. Saved 20% over the normal price on the daily parking in the domestic garage. Well worth paying a few $$ to be able to walk directly into the terminal on the bouncy walkways and avoid the shuttles on a short stay. My thanks to whoever posted this.
addendum: garage Entrance to C was blocked off and bouncy walkways are out of service from D! But no regrets… |

Just as well. The previous few times I was there, I wasted several minutes driving all around multiple levels that supposedly had dozens of available spaces, but really had none. |
On-Airport Long Term Parking - Upgrade Offer
This was a new one for me. I had the long term parking garage booked well in advance, at a 30% discount. (One of their stealth, no promo code, discount offers on the web site)
A few days before my flight, they emailed me with an offer to upgrade to the International G garage for only $5/day additional. We're going to be pressed for time getting to the airport and have quite a bit of luggage, so I took it. If ever I wanted to park closer to the terminal for a flight, it would be this one. (I wonder if I was offered International G since that's what I had originally searched for? Or if International G is way undersubscribed these days?) |

Also, haven't parked in one of the International Garages in many years since it's now priced the same (and sometimes higher ) than the Domestic garage. At $5/day above LTP, I'd park there though. I find it interesting that the A Garage & the G Garage are considered separate products, with sometimes different rates. So did they close the road overpass that used to connect the two of them? |
