Thanks. Even with that $20 off, ParkSFO is quite a bit cheaper for our 6+ night stay in September. It really is our go to location.

Cheers.

Thanks vanillabean. Can you tell me which code this is? The ones I see above are VALETNOW, and that is $257 after discount for valet and SUMMERTIME for $20 off. Yours clearly seems better :)

Cheers.

VALETNOW is for the new, pre-reserved valet service (you reserve/pay online, drive yo to Hyatt and drop off with valet and get on AirTrain to terminal). SUMMERTIME is for $20 off in the LTP on a 6+ day stay - that is self park, so you drive into lot and find a spot yourself. Obviously, the valet service is a lot more. On our 11 day trip in July/Aug, with codes the LTP is still about 1/3 the price of the valet. Obviously, the base of the valet is much more than that of the LTP., but it’s a different product.

it has been mine, as well. But like I said, I looked for this upcoming trip and even with the 4 day coupon, ParkSFO came out to ~$189 and LTP to $145. I was surprised at the difference, as I’ve typically found ParkSFO to be cheaper (and very reliable, though it can be a PITA to find a spot, as the ‘available’ spot indicator is often not accurate.

My metric for parking or not is what the cost is to get there and back via uber. For most multi-day trips, parking just isn't worth it once I run the numbers--uber wins.

That's a fair metric. For things like two week trips, this is what we do. We live in the South Bay, so Uber/Lyft typically runs $100+ each way with tip. We can get a lot of parking for $200. We also do some split airport (SFO/SJC) trips, and then we definitely use Uber/Lyft.

Cheers.

Yep, and shorter trips make a lot more cents when I figure in charging for free. I can usually top off the car on a short trip so that saves time and money and is a factor as well.

Us as well. Though the pricing for Uber/Lyft can be quite variable. One trip in the spring we paid $80 (+ tip) to the airport, and returning, it was $130 (+ tip).

Yep, I've had it vary from $24 to $34 just 8 minutes later--and at 4am no less.

I will need to park my car for 2 weeks near SFO. I was looking at FlySFO and they seem pretty convenient with the AirTrain stopping there and going to all the terminals. I also noticed their website allowed making reservations. All I could tell from this is that this guarantees entry into the parking garage when their sign is "FULL". I am unclear on whether a reservation also guarantees an open parking space for us to park our car. Will we be able to park our car? Or is there a chance that they're completely full when we arrive, and all we accomplish is circling around without finding a spot to park our car? What is your experience with FlySFO?

Are you referring to the Long Term Parking option? I've always been able to find a spot after entering the gates, although occasionally with a fair bit of circling (the overhead parking sensors are basically useless, if they even have them turned on). I have also in the past had to park in the non-covered open lot south of the new LTP garage, although it's been a few years since I've had to do that.

ime, when I've parked at the official long-term parking (the one with direct airtrain access), I've always been able to find a spot in a garage that was not 'closed off'.
