You're absolutely right about this and the surveys you land on from the old email aren't on the site. Also if you wait a bit after you been declined for a survey after the initial screening questions, often another screener will show up and you'll be a match for that survey.

There's no obvious "best choice" for rewards redemption, is there?
(unless you're like, VERY close to the next elite-tier on IHG or so) I just redeem for AS miles every once in a while, might as well do something with my spare time and slowly collect free flights |

If you travel within their footprint, Le Club Accor points can be useful and are apparently still posting as unlimited redemption and elite-qualifying.

Has anyone found recently that when you open a new E-Rewards window for the start of a survey, and click the start button, the details suddenly change to a new survey and you have to click start again? The page doesn't reload - the text changes instantly. Strange.

This has come in handy several times when survey credit either didn't post correctly or not at all. |

This has come in handy several times when survey credit either didn't post correctly or not at all. You could well argue they should have used that stuff to know not to offer you that survey in the first place, but it's still better to be DQ'd after just one click then to go through and fill out a demographic questionnaire. Rewards For Thoughts do allow you to change your survey preferences, which is great if you think certain topics are more suitable for you now. |
