Recently talked to the Coke guy filling the machines at work. I asked him why the card reader that I have linked to my rewards account on the machines had disappeared. He said they had all been taken off the machines because they couldn't find parts.
I just blew 30 points to get another one from my other MCR account and now it may not be of use. (I thought I would give it to my son in college.....good Mom:p) I was just trying to find something that I might be able to spend my semi-worthless points on. |

You might want to log in and enter a code today if you've got an old cap. MCR is quick to dump an account over 'lack of activity' and no need to lose a bunch of points already there over the social media stuff.

Wow how they ruined this program. I'm Gold and have over 3,000 MCR points and can't find anything I want that they have. They don't even have any sweepstake prizes I like lately. I have another 400 or so caps sitting here that I can't enter with the super low weekly maximum. I've stopped going out of my way to buy coke products as the carrot has rotted on the vine. What ever happened to IHG or Hilton points. Heck they don't even have any decent Six Flags offers this year. Sad.

Only travel reward they've had lately was a single horribly restricted United $X dollars off coupon as part of the Christmas promotion. There was some sort of twitter WN gift card contest, but I'm not sure they ever gave out those prizes.
I too miss the days when you could count on hotel points showing up once or twice a year. And the stone age program days when they briefly had AA miles (or maybe it was United) as an award. |

I redeemed for that award in December 2014, and either MCR, one of its vendors, or the USPS managed to lose the gift card and it was never delivered to me. Rather than send out a new gift card, they gave me back 625 MCR points that doesn't get me anything of note. Maybe, I'll be able to use it at the end of this year for a comparable gift card, but I'll be limited to one of those, so in the end, I still come out on the short end of the stick if I want to continue participating in the program! |
