There was a November 2012 redemption period- I remember one long Friday night spent playing the Family Dollar Christmas flagpole thingie for MCR points and immediately cashing out for IHG points every few rounds to grab the points as I went. I think I got like 8-10K IHG points from that messed up promo.
And there was another that spring in like March 2013. March 1, 2013 there was one more redemption period, probably just that day. But I believe the only deeply discounted blow-out event was the Great PC Slaughter on May 25, 2011, when they reduced the cost of 500 PC points from 160 MCR to 50 MCR. On July 20, 2011 the 2000 point awards were reduced from 630 MCR to 250 MCR, but that may have had a limit on the number of redemptions per account. Anybody else remember another time that we could get PC points on the cheap? |
Tweeted and on facebook:
Pool season is zero-calorie season. Stock up for the summer! Earn double the points on all zero-calorie 12-packs. June 25-26. Any 12 pack flap with a Zero brand (Coke Zero, Sprite Zero) should work. Diet Coke, even though it also has 0 calories won't. I know that is they way it was last time around with zero doubling. |
Not sure if this is posted yet, but got an email saying earn 100MCR points for signing up for Rapid Rewards

Did anyone every get any of the prizes promised on from the March Madness competition? I believe we were supposed to get e-mails about movie tickets and what not... just making sure I haven't missed anything.

April 28, 2012, was followed by a November 2012 redemption period that ran for at least a couple of weeks. I show redemptions on Nov 2, 5, 12, 17, & 18.

Anybody else remember another time that we could get PC points on the cheap? I remember all of those times. It was during one of those sales that I cashed in over 10k and grad a ton of points. Two days later, the "one redemption per year per person" rule came down. Sorry all. But I like to reminisce about the first year when I was picking up 500 Hilton points for just 30 MCR points! Points redemption cap was 35 a day back then. Managed four nights at the Hilton Sorrento Palace before they got wise and started steadily increasing the required points.. |

Just got the movie tickets also :)

I'm not happy that the movie tickets expire in 1.5 months, especially given how long they took to process

Is it just for two movie tickets or is it that two tickets & pop corn combo?
The regular MCR promo for AMC theaters can include soda(s) and popcorn in addition to ticket(s) |
