Unless you're needing hh points for a redemption I would not redeem for HH points. Terrible redemption value
What would you consider better value? |
I find it strange that the HH points redemption didn't come up when browsing under the 'TRAVEL' section of the rewards catalog. I had to search for 'Hilton' and then it came up. Just an observation.

Can anyone confirm if the HHonors redemptions are limited in any way (I have not redeemed).

What are HHonors points worth to you? If you answer 1/2 of one cent ($.005), then the redemption is probably no good. If you answer 1-2 (or more?) cents, then the redemption becomes more attractive.

I agree that HH redemption rates are terrible, but I'll still take the free points. Am saving up for a free week in Hawaii.
I redeemed one of each HH award (the 1500 & 500 one), which left me with 218 MCR points. I could get to 225 MCR points pretty quickly to redeem for a 2nd 500 HH point award, but I wonder, will the system let you do two of the same award? Has anyone tried? tls |

I thank Cokeandtaco for informing us of this option although I strongly agree with Mauibaby that the value is terrible & should be used only to top off an HH account or prevent expiry!
Should be 1000 HH or more for 225 MCR just to come close to 500 PC for 160 MCR! Finally, why is the ratio even worse on the big HH block than the small one? 3x 225 = 675 MCR for 1500 HH! |

OK,
another question from a MCR newbie :) I have three accounts, but only on HH. While I've been saving my points for year end promotions, in light of the continuing devaluation of MCR points I'm thinking of blowing my points for the HH promotion now, and perhaps build up more points before EoY. Thoughts ? |

Just think, it will only take you 22,500 MCR points to get one free night in Hawaii!

MCR infected?
I just went to MCR.com and site was blocked by my security software (Webroot SecureAnywhere) with warning it was infected with cdn.fastclick.net Anyone else? It was not blocked this morning when I entered codes.

End of year ~600 MCR will be worth around $25 in various gift cards, while the HH redemption is around 800 MCR for what I estimate to be around $4 to $6 on a good day. You do the math.
