I agree with ScrewedbyCoke's concept that I would rather deal with a company that honestly has no rewards program than a company that manipulates its program to mess with customers like teasing a dog with a bone.
I have gotten many good things from MCR over the years, but now I'm losing interest because recent goodies e.g. Home Depot, AAdmiral's Club, have been surprises--fleeting & undependable.

Although my family missed out on the early MCR "Glory Days" when - among other things - ultra-cheap DL miles were available, MCR has been incredibly good to us as it has put a few thousand dollars in our pockets. If MCR were to offer no more decent awards ever again it would still owe us nothing.

That being said I fully expect them to offer awards in the future that are good values, there have been lulls before and then out of nowhere a super deal like the coupons for free 12-packs for only 30 MCR points will pop up. If you don't like the awards being offered at the moment I'd advise to just be patient as there should be future opportunities for killer deals.

The 12-packs for 30 MCR was of limited value since you had to catch them pretty early to get any. It wasn't a great idea to allow unlimited redemptions to the few members that saw them in time. Far better to place a reasonable limit on them and spread them around, IMHO.

I have a question for you.

In what way have you seen thousands of $$ in your pocket from Coke? I wonder if you know better ways to take advantage of this promotion.

We've redeemed MCR points on a variety of items ranging from Universal Studios tickets to DVD sets but by far most of our redemptions have been for Live Nation Concert Cash codes, see this post and this other one for a bit more info.

I've gotten nearly $3,000 in gift certs-- Home Depot, Adidas, Sony, Nike. Certainly was more lucrative before quantity limits kicked in. I redeemed all those certs online through the AAdvantage shopping portal, so also got what probably came to about 10,000 miles.

According to CS at Best Buy Reward Zone, the MCR 250 point bonus promotion ended Feb. 28.

Our last 250 MCR point codes from BBRZ were emailed to us on Feb 23, however we were expecting/hoping for more codes from qualifying activity accomplished the last week of Feb.

Has anyone received any BBRZ emails with MCR codes since Feb 23?

My last was also Feb 23, and I was expecting at least 1-2 more. Not optimistic.

free t's

copied shamelessly from FW - and it works (so far)First - for 2 free Tshirts on one account:

2 free shirts (now 4) per account
Enter ncaamyteam into the mcr code entry box. Enter 6 cap codes (I think they have to be from either 2-liters or 20 oz'rs, sorry not sure of details). After the 6th, a box appears on the left which says you have earned Tshirt, so get it.

Then enter ncaatshirt. It will immediately say you earned another shirt, get it.

The shirts: all size XL. They have about 30 or so schools to pick from. Not your favorite? Sorry.

I did not post in Free forum because I wanted a few more people to see it. Shoot me.

EDIT:
a. This deal was inspired by a post on SD
b. The teams are slightly different depending on which ncaa code you are on. In the myteam code I got a Xavier shirt. Go X!!!!! And always remember, Xavier is pronounced Zavier. Not Ex-Zavier.
.
.

c. Here's a biggie - you can get 4 shirts on one account. Follow the instructions, then start all over with 6 new caps. Woohoo, partay!

confirming free t shirts

I used all the caps I had - random from 16.9 oz, 64 oz, probably other sizes and they all worked as stated above.

Thanks for the heads up on this forum - I do not check the others.

Thanks a million for the heads-up, worked like champ.

For whatever it's worth I refuse to look at FW - they have far too many mean/rude members. I've found SD to be much more civil (but nothing like FT).

Another thumbs up for SD! Thanks for the tip, got U of M and Boise State

I'm smelling what you're cooking. I just scavenge FW and drag the good stuff back here. ;)
