Thank you for the response. Much appreciated.

I too say yes to all questions. :D

hsh101 Jul 12, 2007 4:34 am

My emiles transfer just showed up in my USAir account this morning.

If we all say YES to these questions and try to answer favorably to products advertized in the site, then all of us will earn more here.

I do this as well... see new cruise offers at least weekly.

Continental Miles Posted Today

I know many people wonder about these programs. My e-miles just posted into my continental account. My wife's e-miles also posted in her account. 500 each, so I guess the "clicks" are worth it!^

Ditto here.

At least with e-miles you know how many miles you get, even though you have to wait until you accumulate 500 miles, and then after the end of a quarter.

Far more transparent than "e-rewards" which I maintain is not worth one's time (works out to 40 frequent flyer miles per hour spent doing surveys), has many restrictions on earning (caps), your points devalue, sometimes as quickly as 32 days after earning them, and have many other problems. I've cancelled e-rewards and am sticking with e-miles. Only problem with e-miles is not that many opportunities to earn.

I would say though that more miles can be earned through e-rewards in the same period of time with e-miles. Where e-miles has the advantage is that it is constant all year.

the_traveler Jul 15, 2007 9:46 am

My CO miles are in my account!

Yes maybe "e-rewards" does have more restrictions, but at least you can (provided you have enough) put 2000 miles into CO, 2000 miles into AA, 2000 miles into US, 2000 miles into NW, etc.... However with "e-miles", you can just earn 2000 miles per year (500 miles * 4 qtrs) for CO alone.

And you can still earn both e-miles and e-rewards! :D And free miles are free miles! ;) (I'll take them both!)

oldpenny16 Jul 15, 2007 9:53 am

In my case, my e-miles are bound for Delta. I agree with you about E-rewards.

Very sorry the_traveler about the loss of your cat!

2travelfar Jul 15, 2007 1:23 pm

Condolences the_traveler on the loss of your longtime pet/friend.

On E-rewards, IIRC you can only redeem once a year for airmiles?? Or am I thinking of some other earnings program?

the_traveler Jul 15, 2007 2:46 pm

Thank you!

Yes, you can only redeem once per year per airline, but it is once per year with DL, once per year with AA, once per year with CO, etc... - so you could get more than 2000 miles, but not with the same airline.

2travelfar Jul 15, 2007 2:54 pm

Thanks, didn't catch that little detail in the T&Cs...now if I could just get enough opportunities to get any of those miles (lol)

freeflyin Sep 27, 2007 8:49 am

Just a reminder to check your emiles accounts-the quarter is ending and you may have opportunities that will give you enough points for redemption. I often find that the emails from emiles are delayed at least several days after the opportunities are actually on my accounts.

Marathon Man Sep 27, 2007 9:25 am

thanks but I am at the 300+ mark right now and so i am at the whim of the offers that come in for the 5 mile adds.

Want to share your success? :D

Marathon Man Sep 27, 2007 12:03 pm

well in first Q I was stuck at 495 forever so I missed it. When I got to about 630 or so, the second one came. I redeemed leaving the left over and have just been doing the many 5 pt things since. So my success is that I missed one posting. Should I make #3, it will be because of this missed opp or failure from #1!~

Kiwi Flyer Sep 27, 2007 1:18 pm

This batch of 500 is taking a loooong time. Was about 300 at end of last quarter and now only just over 400. I'll probably give up once I get it up to 500. Just not worth the effort to keep going.

ILeftMyHeartInTexas Sep 27, 2007 1:36 pm

This is taking forever!!! I am only half way there. What am I doing wrong?

delmargal Sep 27, 2007 4:11 pm

I've had miles transfered only once since January. It's almost October and I'm just around the 300 mark...

The surveys are so quick and simple though that it isn't a waste of time like e-rewards.

To get more e-miles offers/surveys make sure you update your profile questions every few months...they change and add radio buttons without notification.

Winglets747 Sep 27, 2007 4:42 pm

I got 500 miles for Q2 and for Q3 I may get 500 or 1,000 miles depending when 200 miles from Adobe post to my e-Miles account.

I'm going to guess Q4 is going to have a lot of opportunities, what with the holidays and all.

MileageAddict Sep 27, 2007 5:19 pm

I'm at 495 right now. Of course, the quarter ends tomorrow...

UCBeau Sep 27, 2007 5:28 pm

i'm at 525 now, after about a quarter of work. just sucks there isnt a faster way to earn them

KathyWdrf Sep 27, 2007 11:37 pm

I'm a relative newbie at e-miles, and my current balance is at 685. When I first joined, there were all kinds of balance-building bonus offers, but of course, now they just trickle in slowly.... ;)

So, if I understand correctly, at the end of this quarter, 500 of my miles will be automatically transferred to the airline I've chosen, correct?

No, a MINIMUM of 500 miles will be transfered. For example, if your balance was 499, NO miles would be transfered; they'd be rolled over to the new quarter. Since your current balance is 685, all 685 miles will be deposited :)

Actually 500 miles will be transfered, the remaining 185 will be left in e-miles to start your next quarter. Miles are transfered in blocks of 500.

correct

OK, it's October 1, and my e-miles balance is still 685... no transfer yet....

LadyPhoenix Oct 1, 2007 5:14 pm

My mistake :)

ClimbGuy Oct 1, 2007 8:09 pm

I am 20 miles short of my first transfer. I have signed up for every free offer to date.

ILeftMyHeartInTexas Oct 2, 2007 9:28 am

Is anyone out there getting any offers for e-miles? NaDa here

UCBeau Oct 2, 2007 11:27 am

how long, on average, do the miles take to transfer?

From the Account section:

"Note: e-Miles miles should post to your e-Miles Account Statement instantly, but occasionally it can take up to 10 business days. If you don't see miles earned posted after 10 business days, please contact Member Services via e-mail at [email protected]."

UCBeau Oct 2, 2007 11:38 am

i mean transfer to your FF program. the miles do post to my e-miles statement instantly.

LadyPhoenix Oct 2, 2007 11:43 am

Answer found in the FAQ section

"Q. Why haven't my miles been credited to my frequent flyer account?

The miles you earn with e-Miles are deposited in your preferred frequent flyer account once per quarter; January, April, July, and October. Each Sponsor airline requests you allow 6-8 weeks after e-Miles quarterly deposit submission for miles to post to your frequent flyer account. If they haven't been credited by that time, please contact your frequent flyer program's customer service number, or e-mail e-Miles Member Services at [email protected]."

LadyPhoenix Oct 2, 2007 11:44 am

To me, that is a LONG time for posting to your FF account...

UCBeau Oct 2, 2007 12:04 pm

heck ya that is, but not at all surprising given that other programs like mypoints have similarly long time frames for getting rewarded

You might consider reading earlier posts in this thread.... I started looking at this very lengthy thread and I think most questions are already answered. @:-) And they are answered by people's actual experience, rather than the theoretical "6-8 weeks" maximum you are supposed to allow per the website FAQs. ;)

ILeftMyHeartInTexas Oct 2, 2007 5:07 pm

Spoke too soon this a.m., I checked my e-mail today and surprise . . . there was an e-miles offer.

I considered it and decided against it :-:;)

A bit surprised the October flush of miles hasn't occurred yet.

Moved from 805 to 825 emiles in my account tonight. I'd feel better about things if 500 of those would disappear (to eventually reappear in my USAir account).

UCBeau Oct 5, 2007 10:53 am

well the 500 miles have left my emiles account but aren't in my delta account. if anyone sees them, please contact me.
