Yeap... From what I gather on their website, they will transfer the points quarterly... and in increment of 500... The 300+ points i got are still sitting on the emiles account... They should transfer that over to NW if i manage another 200 points between now and end March...

Ditto, I just did the same survey. Took about three minutes. About five miles per minute. Easy.
Dave Well at least that's higher than the federal minimum wage, until the $7.25 passes through Senate anyway...:) |
Received an e-mail from e-miles today telling me that I had an opportunity to earn points. Brief surveys regarding Hilton, Hertz, Blockbuster, E-Rewards and E-miles (that's all I can remember) I earned about 50 points in total. Check your e-mail or log onto E-miles to see if you have any opportunities to earn points.

Your first e-Miles(R) earning opportunities have arrived!
Same here:
*** Dear gforce, Your miles are waiting! This week, we officially launch e-MilesŪ, offering you new opportunities to earn frequent flyer miles by viewing messages from many of America's leading advertisers. To get started, you can view your earning opportunities by going to your Member homepage at http://www.e-Miles.com . In addition to viewing messages from our advertisers, you can also earn miles in the following two ways: 1. Earn miles by completing any incomplete Profiles, including our newest Profile about your pets. 2. If you like sharing your opinion with major companies by completing market research surveys, you can earn e-Miles miles by joining the e-RewardsŪ Opinion Panel, one of America's largest consumer research panels. To learn about e-Rewards, check out the earning opportunity on your homepage at http://www.e-Miles.com . In the weeks ahead, you will be receiving new earning opportunities, either by solo e-mail or on your Member homepage. Early each week, look for an e-mail reminder telling you that new opportunities have become available. Also, be sure to check back at the end of the week, as additional messages may have been added to your homepage. At the outset, you may only see a limited number of earning opportunities each week. But, as more and more leading marketers discover their ability to engage with you electronically, we expect you'll be able to spend at least a few minutes each day being rewarded for your time. e-Miles looks forward to offering you a whole new way to earn your favorite rewards - miles, just for sharing a few minutes of your time. Thanks again for being a part of e-Miles, The e-Miles Team Please click the "Continue" button below to see a list of your current earning opportunities. *** |
Hubby and I both got ours today. I had the same surveys for 50 miles listed above, he got additional surveys through Neimann and e-rewards.^
|
A month later and still no more addtional surveys
|
I got a few today for about 40 points.
|
its been kinda slow with emiles, i think they are just developing their system so hopefully it will get better with time. We are not getting any surveys yet, what i got today was more like advertisement with minimum miles.

Seems like a waste. Take a survey and get 10 or 15 miles? Not worth it, IMHO.
Better option is e-surveys where for 15 or 20 minutes you can earn $5 or $10. You can then use this to buy a $25 e-cert from NWA. I'd spend my time on the other site. Jayson a) NWA discount rewards are "out of stock" ... which is a load of toss; they can issue as many certs as they want to. b) IF you earn $5 or $10, when converted to miles, you're talking 2000 miles for "$100" in erewards ... hence this currency is highly overvalued. 2000 miles are worth, maybe, $20. So your $5 survey gives you effectively 100 miles. c) The emiles.com system suffers from a severe dearth of opportunity. So what if you "earn" 300 miles by answering 12 one-page "surveys" (basically filling out your profile so they can send you "targeted offers" ... if you can't get it to 500 miles in the quarter, you lose these miles. Both systems are not quite worth the effort. |
Along with the initial surveys, I've had 4 or 5 other opportunities, for a total of 355 miles earned so far. Easy surveys, very quick. I think it's worth the time, others may not.
Hope they spin up AA at some point. |
seems I got 30 more miles putting me at 350.
Ok if this works I will sign up the whole fam! :)MM |

I'm at 360 miles, between the 100 miles for joining, the profile questions, and a few "earning opportunities."
|
I'm at 450 :)

Yeah, but you can't switch, can you??
So, with the right timing, you could switch with minimal mileage loss. |

By chance, I just checked for offers... And sure enough one was waiting from Zales. It also included a coupon for $50 off a $200 purchase.
Check for offer's and see if one is waiting for you! |

You would also have to figure in what Erewards would pay for the miles and the profit they would need to extract. Plus, its a fake currency with an arbitrary value. Too many people get wrapped around the axle about this point. If they gave you 1/5 of the value for each question/surveyed you answered, would you feel it was a better value? Instead of $5 surveys they'd be $1. You have to fill out x surveys to get x miles. You arent doing it to supplement your income. You are doing it because you are addicted to miles and the "scent" of free miles is the lure. We all know that our time is worth something but "no out of pocket money" means its free to most of us. Plus its all part of the game we play. Ken in Phx |
I just logged in and once again an offer from FTD was available. :)
I would not wait for emails to arrive in your in-box this is now the second offer I got by logging in to my account. |
good tip! thanks
i love all the ads... like mypoints, at least you get something for having to see them. Now I have 360 emiles. woo hoo! |
If you look at these 'surveys', it's really a method to gurantee that you read their ads. The survey is secondary. In comparison to other pay-for-survey sites, e-miles ask minimum # of questions and is aimed to market product to you.

zactly, and that's totally fine by me... as long as opening pages does not give my email box any spam and cause harm or annoyances to my PC. Hey, if someone wants to give me points for glancing at something, I will take it |
I signed up for this, but I am worried that they might give out my email address to their sponsors. I don't mind receiving the questionaires but I would not want the ads directly from the advertisers.
|
yeah then you'd have an inbox like mine... ( I think many are from MyPoints spam) which has like 1001902830123 new spam messages a day and every time I refresh, there are more.

I'm only up to 315 so far... |
I'm at 465....so close, yet so far!
|

Hubby and I are both at 405. I figure the 500 doesn't have to be reached until the end of March, so I'm pretty confident we'll get there.

Are you sure? I thought miles expired at the end of every quarter?
Members must respond to at least one marketing message per month for their e-Miles miles to remain active. e-Miles reserves the right to suspend a Member's e-Miles miles if such Member does not respond to at least one marketing message per month. The decision to suspend e-Miles miles will be at e-Miles discretion. e-Miles miles are automatically submitted to Delta Air Lines for deposit into SkyMiles Bonus Miles within 30 days after the end of each calendar quarter for qualifying e-Miles increments. e-Miles miles are deposited in 500 mile increments with overages rolling into the next quarter. e-Miles reserves the right to change the increments and/or frequency of deposits. e-Miles miles not deposited into your SkyMiles account expire one year after the quarter in which they were earned. Anyone read this differently? |
I'm finally over 500. Today, I logged in just to check and there was a 10pt carnival earnings opportunity, so I'm sitting tight at 505.
From the way I understand it - current quarter ends on March 31st. So if you are at or over 500 e-miles by March 31st, then 500 miles will be posted into your designated ff account in April. E-miles expire within 1 yr from the quarter in which they are earned - so perhaps it would make sense for me not to do any more earning opportunities until April, since I do have enough e-miles for my 500 mile award, and I doubt I could get another 500 e-miles just in March alone. |
